Does any other book besides 5Dimes and Millenium offer this wager? (You give points in the teaser instead of getting them)

Here's the payout for just the 6pt please.

2 team 6/1
3 team 17/1
4 team 45/1
5 team 120/1
6 team 300/1

If you could manage to pick some dogs getting alot of wood or a fav that covers big it looks kind of tempting to me. Here are some of the college and pro games I picked this past weekend

Giants at pickem won by 10
Steelers at -5.5 won by 19
Bills at pickem won by 31
Chiefs at -5.5 won by 13
Lions at -4 won by 18
Seahawks at -3 won by 17
49er's at -7.5 won by 42
Falcons at +2 won by 14

Iowa at -36 won by 49
Michigan at -27.5 won by 47
UConn at -15.5 won by 27

Of course I had a few losers in that mix but of all the winners I picked all covered the spread including an extra 6 points. If you're inclined to play parlays at all (yeah I know they're from the devil..lol) then giving that extra six does'nt look too bad compared to the payoff, IMHO.

Hey Cache,

I have been with www.betmaker.com for a few years and they offered pleasures last year for college football games. They have recently updated there software and after waiting for 2 weeks i have been informed that they will not offer these type of bets on college games. One of the managers said that the odds get to high and there are too many games for them to handle. I am currently looking for a book who offers these type of bets.

Pleasers are horrible bets in the NFL. Say a team is favored by 6. This means the ML is approx +/- 250 which means that you will win 2 games .081633 % of the time and you are only getting 6-1. Even if you think the ML is +/- 200 the odds of winning two pleasers is 1/3 * 1/3 = 1/9 = .1111. You are still getting horrible odds.
Betting these games in the colleges is a whole different story if you think about it.

Strut - remember the story of the bum in Vegas? I believe he bet a 1$ pleaser parlay with every single NFL team. He came in and bet it every single day for a buck. Not only you have to hit all 15 games or whatever but he is giving all those points to the other side!!! To hit a 15 team parlay is astronomical, to hit it in a pleaser is unreal. Don't quote me on any of this but the pay-out I believe was over $100,000!!

I hope someone else knows this story and can get the facts right but the gist of this is on the money. That was one happy bum for a couple of months.

I figured out the odds being very conservative saying that you will hit 1 in 3 pleasers. The odds of going 15 for 15 is 1/3 ^ 15 = 14,348,907. Which is 1 out of 14,348,907

Raiders - maybe Strut will remember the details as he was working in Vegas at the time. It may have been a 10 teamer or something smaller. Whatever it was it was still just ridiculously lucky to hit. I know the gist of it was he hit a big pleaser play that he bought for one dollar and it paid him over $100,000. That I am sure of. I recall them saying that because they laughed at him each time he made the play. "At least we made another buck today" when he put the play in.

Doubt they were laughing much the day he hit it.

Irish- I'll bet he was sweating that last game out. A guy with some $ can hedge a game like that but a guy betting a buck just has to sit there and wait it out.

Thanks for all the info guys. Ya, i just play real small bets on a few 3 team pleasers each week. I look for a few college teams who are getting between 4 and 12 points and maybe a few getting or giving over 30. Over the past 2 years i have kept track and have been able to hit more that 1 out of every 17 of these bets and they realy come in handy if im having a bad week. If not, i never loose all that much. I was just pissed when my only current book told me they would not offer them on college anymore.

Las Palmas has em. Played my first one this weekend. Seems like I got better odds though. I had -

Buffalo -6
Ny Giants -6
Houston +7.5
Jack -2

$50 to win $2500. Thats 50 to 1 odds and had a hell of a chance to win too. Damn Carolina with there late td.

Have been looking hard at these pleasers.

FYI this past weekend, 30 out of the 42 NFL/CFB/CFL games had a side that covered the extra 6 points! Don't know if that's the norm but definately worth keeping an eye on. Imagine the payday if you parlayed a number of these games!

Why is it that people say that teasers, parlay, pleasers are such horrible bets but everywhere you look the books are trying to limit the action or the payout on these wagers. With the pleasers some books have stopped letting you bet on college games or they've limitted them to select college games, why? There must be some advantage to the player or the books would'nt put up restrictions.
