Will he go into exile in Antigua, stay a partner in the USA. Keep fighting the legalities of the case. Retire to a trading job he excels in. start a new syndicate and break WSEX's comp orjust retire and play golf andchase honnies. His options look pretty good.

Maybe the high profile 60 minutes show irked the Feds and made them example. Many good shop are ran by people without the clean background of those three. They pay are professional and should have been the last book hassled.

He should write a book and go on the speaking circuit. He should leverage his quasi celebrity to speak about the hypocrasy of the US Government.

It seems to me if he goes to Antigua then the last 3 years would have been one big circle jerk. He needs to keep fighting.

I think Jay will not be allowed to travel to Antigua, and may not be allowed to travel out of the district he will be living in, under the terms of his supervised release, without the permission of his probation officer.

It depends if his probation officer he will get is a small or big prick.

Jay will not be allowed to leave the US without approval which he most likely would not get, especially to any destination south of the US. Probably for at least 5 years after release. Of the people I talk to who speak to Jay regularly they all seem to agree that he will stay out of WSEX from here forward and either go back to wall street or perhaps lobby to block anti-gaming legislation depending on the amount of support he can gather once he is released.

Mike:

5 years is too long.

Fed supervised release max is 3 years.

This time may be cut downwards, up to 1/2, IF all FINES are paid, and the person being supervised is not under a Courts order to attend a drug or alcohol program, post release

Again, travel in and out of the district required the permission of the probation officer, within the US, and the Courts approval along with the Probation officers recommendation for travel outside of the US.

J may be allowed to travel to say Paris, but not Antigua for obvious reasons.

Since the Feds won't give anybody parole, how can they put conditions on your release?

As a convicted felon Jay is not gonna get anywhere near the securities business. Very thorough licensing proceedure.

Wish him nothing but the best. Hope he has enough green stuff stashed so he can enjoy the rest of his years.

I agree w/you. Everyone looks on this guy as some kind of hero. While his intenions were noble they were IMHO misguided. Someone should have slapped him upside the head and told him "DON`T MAKE WAVES"!! You can`t beat "The Man" and all you do is bring heat down on the whole industry. Which is what`s happening. Too late now especially after "60 Min." gets a hold of it.

I'm a little confused when you say he can go to Paris, but not Antigua...what is stopping him from flying to Paris and then buying a ticket to fly to Antigua..will the French Govt stop him??..The Antiguan??

Its kinda like how Americans Fly to Mexico or Canada to fly to Cuba...

does anyone have any knowledge about this???

Agreen:

It works like this.

You want to go to Paris, and receive permission. You are only allowed to go where you say you are going and you must report in within 24 hours of your return.

IF FOR ANY REASON, you are not where you are supposed to be, or your pp gets checked for stamps etc. you are fukked, and could easily get sent back to prison, or at the least, will not have any further travel priviledges, and never get an early release.

If Jay C wanted to be a fugutive, he wouldn't have reported to Nellis in the first place.

CUBA DOESN'T STAMP OR RECORD ENTRY / DEPARTURE OF US PASSPORTS.. ANTIGUA DOES

when i met with jay last t-givingwe talked about his getting out. once her gets out he has to serve a few years of supervised probation. he said he will try to have that done in the san francisco area - for a few reasons. so when jay gets out - he still is not a 100% free man for at least another few years.
