My last post got me thinking about the power of Neteller...

Many of us lament the fact that there's no real way to force a deadbeat book to pay us our money, and take the risk of failure to pay out into account when choosing a sportsbook(s). One might think that in the nebulous world of cyberspace, where companies are based in countries thousands of miles away and far from the long arm of US jurisdiction, it's impossible to be completely assured that if a dispute arises, justice will prevail..

...but think about the present situation, when most credit card companies/banks have wisened up to the dangers of online gambling and have blocked most transactions from going on. The virtual sole lifeblood of all of these offshore books is now Neteller. That means that Neteller -- a completely up-and-up company, so far as I can tell, from the years I've been dealing with them (although they have to work on their telephone answernig time) -- wields all the power. Rather than relying solely on RX intervention (much appreciated, by the way!

wouldn't it make sense to make a direct appeal to Neteller to stop processing deposits to book X until they pay you money you're owed? Each individual book needs the ease of money transfer that Neteller offers a helluva lot more than Neteller needs the business of any one book. Thus, I would think that if Neteller could be convinced that an injustice was done, and they want to raise the perception of their company as well, it would behoove them to refuse to do business with deadbeat books.

Has anyone ever pursued this angle ?
