Hello everybody. I'd like to start off by introducing myself to all of you. My name is Cheryl, I am a 38 year old female, who happens to be the wife of a person that posts here. His name is Jim. You all know him as Coolhandjim.

This is really a serious issue. This is not a joke, like some of you might think.

You all ask what I'm doing here? Well, here is the answer. Lately, things haven't been going too well at home with me and Jim. He's been really neglecting me the last few weeks, and I think he's cheating on me. I really love Jim to death, and I can't see myself being without him. I thought maybe you all being his friends would know more than me. He's been very cold to me these last few weeks, and has always been on this computer all night and watching sports. He used to take me out to dinner at Legal Seafoods at least twice a week for a 2.5 lb lobster and a cold beer. But lately, we've been having trouble, and I don't want to lose him. I don't like his friends at all because they are bad people who happen to be connected with the Irish mob, and I don't want Jim associating himself with them. I really worry for him 24 hours a day.

I hope he's not cheating on me, because when we went shopping this Saturday at Filenes together, Jim wasn't himself. He was flirting with alot of men who happened to be attracted to my husband. I am praying that my husband is not gay. I pray everyday that he isn't, but lately, I've been getting bad vibes about this. I think Jim might be having an affair.

Another thing that really bothers me is that I strongly believe that my husband has a serious gambling problem. Twice in the last 12 years, he has lost all our money. We've had bookies come to our house and threaten to kill my husband if he doesn't pay off a gambling debt. We have lost everything in 1992 and we had to start over. It also happened in 1997. We had to start over twice. My husband is very sick and he needs help. I am really scared that some collector will come here one day and kill my husband.

Jim loves to gamble, play golf, play cards with the Irish boys upstairs and go to Legal Seafoods and eat lobsters and get drunk. Not only does Jim gamble, but he is definitely an alcoholic, and this worries me.

Anyway, I don't want to bore you all with our problems, and I am very sorry if I bothered you. But I'm really worried for my husband because I sense he is having an affair and I have a feeling I am going to lose him. We've been married for 10 years and most of it has been rocky with all his gambling and drinking that he does.

If you're wondering how I was able to find this place, well Jim stepped out for a while (He didn't tell me where he was going) and he left his computer on. I read the screen and noticed that he frequents here quite often.

Please don't tell my husband that I came here and spoke to you guys. He won't like that. I hope he never ends up reading this.

I want to thank you all for giving me the oppurtunity in allowing me to open up and talk about my husband. I feel much better now than before.

God bless you all.

Cheryl

i don't know how much of this is true and is not -but if it is true - jim's got some problems that need to be dealt with.

if he does gamble as much as you say w/the kind of "success" he has - he really shouldn't be here on this site (sorry guys here - but we all know it is true).

i don't know anything about your relationship but it seems to me that if you really want to save it i suggest the 2 of you spend a weekend together airing out things and deciding if you 2 should stay together or go your ways NOW as opposed to later. if you have any kids - get them over to their grandparents or anywhere as long as it means you 2 are alone.

oh, yeah, if he does have a gambling problem he won't admit it - problem gamblers never do.

i wish you the best of luck - sounds like you might need it.

It's good that you came in here and told us all of this. We, too, have suspected Jim of being a receiver in the prison game known as pitch and catch but we didn't want to say anything. As far as Jim having a gambling problem I don't feel that's correct. To have a gambling problem a person has to win occassionaly. Jim has what is known as a losing problem. But we really would like for you to let him stay. He's our most consistent tout. Some guys have retired by fading his plays. As far as his sexual problems go consider yourself lucky. I think I have the solution. There's a poster at the site known as Covers that is a close friend of Jim's and I'm sure Jim wouldn't mind him stopping by your house once a week and, shall we say, 'servicing you'. This guy goes by the name of 'Angry Black Man'. I think you might already know him as I've seen him mention you and Jim's mom in several posts. As far as Jim's gambling goes I'll talk to the guys here and see if we can't get him an account set up for him to gamble with. He only plays about $10 a game so it would be worth it to us for him to keep on giving out his plays. And don't worry about Jim finding out about you coming here and telling us about him. He doesn't read what anyone else writes so he won't even notice. Good luck to you and ABM on your future life together.

Just have him followed one day, that should answer all of your questions /infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Just so you know.
I tried talking with lil' Jimmy this morning, i tried keeping everything real relaxed, sat back in my favorite lazy-boy, had some soft relaxing music in the backbround etc.
I didn't want to make Jim suspicous or anything, so after a few quiet moments , i just sort of off the cuff asked " So Jim, i am curious, is there anything going on with that cashier Roshanda? Or any other woman for that matter?".
Jim was pretty quiet for a few moments, then finally, Jim lifted up his head for a moment and said "Of course not Butternutts".
So, i just patted him on the head and said, "i beleive you Jimmy".
So , if it means anything , i think you are definitely the only woman in Jims life..

Two exceptional posts in as many days!!!

The other obviously being "On the Radio" by NorthernIce.

Some tough decisions to make in regard to the next POSTER OF THE WEEK.

What is all this? The stuff about the black girly seemed faked.
Now this supposed wife? Did anyone else notice the English on her post? Is Jim's wife a second language English speaker? This all seems fishy.

I don't know but she sure types excellent paragraphs and here grammar seems so much more advanced to his......I wonder what she see's in him to keep holding on?

I didn't see that, I'm not trying to offend her. It's just that if you speak English as a first language and have taught English grammar you pick up on the tell tale signs of a second language speaker. For example when you said
"so much more advanced to his..."
which would be correctly said,
so much more advanced than his,
Any way what I was hinting at is that the post by "Cheryl" looks kind of like somebody from C.R. trying to make some kind of joke.

Kaya

Where do you find she f ucked up. I for one make tons of mistakes. Even Joe and Ken make numerous mistakes. Isn't clevfan American?? If she can screw up, so can Cheryl. Where did Cheryl screw up? I'm just curious. I personally thought it was well written. She's much much more educated than Jimmy. Maybe it's not his wife, but how can we be sure.

You are good! The thought that this may be an impostor wife of Jim's never occured to me. It is probably one of his numerous lady friends who is trying to get the low down on him /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I didn't say she or anybody f u c k e d up.

I just noticed signs that indicate the possibility of a second language speaker.

I make typos too but that's not what I mean. The thing is that if you are sensative to it, the is a distinct difference between typos or poor grammar used by so many Americans and the tendencies of a second language speaker.

Example: how many Americans write alot, very common mistake, it's two words, a lot!

The types of mistakes you see from a second language speaker would be things like confusion with prepositional use, such as the difference between "agree to" and "agree with". Also things that don't translate literally from the native tounge such as, hace tres dias que no lo veo = it makes three days that I don't see him.

Any way you're right we don't know, I just wanted to bring up the doubt.

Cool hand jim really has too much time on his hands. This is getting ridiculous. He is now posting under a female monicker (under his wives name, nonetheless).

CHJ likes to take it right in his cholocate starfish by big burly men.

"Cheryl" must really be "Charles"

BTW: Legal seafoods has the same quality fish that Filenes Basement has of clothes. LMFAO!!!!
