"Big Dog" Steve Deumig, of Tampa's Sports Animal 620 AM, read word for word the entire RX page one story "10 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE SENDING MONEY OFFSHORE" this afternoon, giving proper attribution and encouraging listeners to log on to this site and the others before sending out money. Particularly urged "newbies" to do so.

I think he mentioned something about morning guy Chris Thomas doing the same, although I caught a bit of static and may not have heard right.

In his own unique way, reading slowly and pausing often for dramatic effect, Deumig particularly stressed reading the rules and dwelled upon the "wiseguy/syndicate" clause as an escape clause for a book to not pay.

BTW, exactly which share of the market is BetPanAm looking for with that same clause in their rules?

Has to be. He's the most cryptically funny guy on the radio, owns horses and talks about Pimlico all the time. A nerdy looking, skinny legged Irishman.

Chris Thomas is a good guy. Can't go to the tracks without seeing him around, I've talked to him a couple of times as a buddy of mine knows him real well. I listen to those guys sometime but didn't hear where Duemig read it.

Steve is okay too, my only beef with him was I thought he went over the line on his attacks with Dilfer. Those two put a new definition to the word hate. LOL. Anyway Dilfer is gone now and both these guys talk gambling so I am fond of both of them now.

He really is a good guy Pat and about as funny as can be. I agree that Deumig went overboard with the Dilfer thing, but I'll tell you what his post game Lightning show was a class act until the took him off of that. Lightning loses haven't been the same since.

Thomas's 5 Star Handicapping show on Friday and Deumig's Vegas Insider Friday afternoon are not to be missed. Yea, Deumig did do this today I caught it from point 3 on, as I was driving in Hernando County bringing my car home from the body shop.

I believe you Mr Jones, I can tell the way he talks about his daughter and all he is proud of her and probably a good father. I also certainly agree about the Lightning show as well, he did that very well. That was some goober (to use his word) who took him off that. I have been critical at times in the past (almost entirely about Dilfer) but have said my piece and moved on. I probably agree with him on the majority of everything else he does. Like everyone else I am sure he would be the first to tell you that you got to have thick skin in his business.

Matter of fact my wife spoke with him the other night while he was doing his show and was very impressed. Even talked to him off the air she said about various things. Yeah I can't say much bad about Chris or Duemig, being a gambler hell what more can I ask for. I'll go down with Chicago Billy once or twice this year and hear his Friday show like I did last year.

Some of the best local talk you will hear. Not even a contests between them and ESPN for pure sports talk/sportsbetting. Speaking of ESPN they have resorted to discussing gay sitcoms in an attempt to increase their market share. This network has gone to shit.

Pat if you're talking about Chris' show Friday morning, I try to get to that a few times myself. Tell you what, look for a beard under an Orange Vols hat thats been beer soaked a few times. Never too many guys wearing one of those.

Yes Journey, he has to bet the same guy, when he was still an anchor on channel 8 down here, he always brought up the Orioles. His radio show at 10 AM every morning is great, and consists mainly of gambling issues, and he very quick to admit he's a big gambler.

McIrish- Is this cool or what? I barely ever miss Steves show and today had to be one of them.....12-3 with Rome and 3-6 with Steve.

Fish - this is cool. They know people are going to gamble and by sending them here they have at least a chance to not get stiffed or play into a bad book with a history. Very decent of them to do this.

Jones - exactly right, I was referring to Chris Thomas and his handicapping show. Not to make this sound like a 620WDAE commercial but those two guys do great, part of the show is to induce callers to call. You can't always have the listeners agree. Neither of them hide behnd that PC crap and I have always liked that. I even like Ian a great deal when he gets in.

Only bad part of the day IMO (when I could listen more) was when Rome came on. I have no idea why we had to listen to him, made Sileo sound like a Hall of Famer. Of course others may love Rome but I just can't get through a whole show of how great he is.

Pat, Chris doesn't really like Rome either. He has agreed with several callers who suggested the station stop broadcasting Jim Rome many times, but he always says "we just can't do it".

Jim Rome is GREAT!
Best interviewer in the business by far.

Now that punk Jeremy Schapp is the guy that needs a new career. I would rather hear nails across a chalkboard before listening to this wannabe. Was born into his job...shameful.

Irishman and Fish, I've been out of town for awhile and it's great to be back and hear these two again. But I'll tell you one thing you can have that Penner guy. I don't even know if he's on the air anymore, cause I don't get up that early. But that rat bastard almost caused me and the wife to expire on that Body Solutions shit awhile back.

We lost exactly zero pounds and were physically ill. You know there was a class action suit somewhere in regards to that shit. But, I personally know Al Meilus and that's one hell of a good treatment.
