Maybe Laspalmas did not pick SBR's dinner tab. SBR is a joke. I have logged on at Laspalmas without any problems recently. You can always call in your bets too.

Chuck,

I haven't played there recently (I got booted for withdrawing too much), but when I did a number of months ago, I had a lot of porblems logging in. And calling to place bets isn't much of an option when you can't even see their lines.

I can't believe anyone pays attention to this site, its a marketing site plain and simple. He runs a very big affiliate business. Every book he "recommends" is part of his affiliate business (look at the links). SBR gets a kickback for the losses these players rack up at the books on the SBR list.

The books are cycled and moved around so that he can churn through the various books and be covered no matter where his players decide to play.

He isn't lying when he says he doesn't accept advertising dollars, he does however accept affiliate losses with open arms.

overdog, excellent post. The more people that realize what SBR does, the less serious they will take this clown.

Las Palmas has changed dramatically in the last couple of weeks.

1) Since they have upgraded or changed their site, getting on to the site is hardly ever a problem. But once you are on the site it seems to lag quite a bit.

2) When making one bet for the maximum of 500, and then returning to the lines to make another 500 wager on the same line, 80% of the time that line will move. (only other place ive seen move lines that quickly was homebets). Phoning in the bet can get you your desired line for 1000 but then you are affecting your reload status as they will tend to give you 10% if you do phone wagers and 15% if you bet online.

3) They now have a completely new casino. One that ive not seen a duplicate of anywhere. And thus the surrender option on blackjack is no longer available. Overall, the other blackjack program seemed easier to beat.

4)neteller payouts are not as lightning quick as in the past and contradict that statement that is on their website.

They were alot better when they were WIT. Used to be one of my favorite books. WIT started concentrating on europien soccer or whatever and their sister book Laspalmas took over american sports and went with 20 cent lines on baseball. That was about the time i stopped using them. They were never all that great with the other sports. One good thing about them was they always paid without question.

LP is a fine book but they have been dogged with these type of small problems. SBR had multiple complaints about the site and returned emails. SBR tried forwarding the complaints and bounced emails to LP and SBR's email bounced too.

Still a good book but they have to straighten a few quirks out before they are put back on the list.

btw, I like the new INet software. It gets a bad rap in idustry circles mainly from credit shops but it is a big improvement for LP & Bowmans & others this football year.

Buzz,

A bit of an over reaction, wouldn't you say?

LP is a very good *PHONE* book.

Frank,
The SBR list has been consistant and quick to move books off fot the past 3+ years. Pinnacle was removed 2 years ago briefly and last year VIP was removed right before football, both got their problems fixed and returned.

The books understand that its not personal and it doesn't matter if they pay referrals as some do, including LP, or not. We still rate LP highly but SBR is not going to have a book on the Recommended List that can't receive email and has software bugs. They get it right and they will be back.

Buzz, INET has the credit industry locked down. No one can offer what they are offering on the credit side of the software business. This is mainly because of all the R & D they did to support Grande.

If a slow web site is the only thing wrong with Las Palmas that small potatos, the most important thing is that the book pays on time.
