Personally watched these two teams play in their entirity yesterday. Here are my observations and what I think you can look forward to with these teams barring serious injuries the remainder of the season.

SOUTH FLORIDA- A much better team than their final score vs. Alabama would lead you to believe. In their first 2 seasons in DIV 1-A they have compiled a 13-3-1 ATS. This is mainly because of coach Jim Levitt and his excellant coaching style. Yesterday they dominated a pretty good Alabama team the entire 1st quarter until a misearbale interception was returned for a TD by the Tide. At that point in time , ALABAMA had negative yardage offensively. The new USF qb has a ton of skills, and should get better over the course of the season and will be a very good qb. Look for this team to contend in their first year Conference USA.

MIAMI,OHIO- Their qb is a 1st round draft pick in next years draft. It was unreal how many balls the receivers dropped yesterday on mid to long range routes. This team has had 3 straight winning seasons ATS. This team will not play near the callibur of defense they saw yesterday in Iowa City and will be much better off having played against them.

I watched a lot of the S. Florida game, and honestly couldn't tell for sure if they were that good, or if Bama was that bad.

That game was MUCH closer than the score indicated.

Speaking of the small Florida schools, does anyone know how UCF looks this year?

They have a QB that will shatter most of Duante Culpeppers records at UCF and they have 8 starters returning on the defensive side of the ball. We will know a lot more about them after their ESPN game today at VT.

The heat was a big factor in that game, lots of guys cramping up. Naturally you can say it was hot for both teams, but the S.Fla bench was on the side looking right into the sun, while Bama had its back to it. The announcers mentioned this several times, saying it was much hotter on the S.Fla side. I am not making excuses for S.Fla. just saying the heat may have been harder on them, than it was on Bama. S. Florida is certainly a team to watch this season.

S Flor +17.5 and leading 17-7 and then outscored 33-0

The swing on this game cost me on the day.

I also had Miami Ohio + 11

I will have to stick with these two teams based on Fish's post.

Agree Miami will be better but the lines may be tough because of the QB. Some passes were dropped but he made some real bad ones as well. They are a good team for the MAC but I don't know that you will get good lines because everyone knows the QB is damn good.

Yes, very good point. These two teams are no longer "sleepers" to say the least. I really think this qb(Banks) can be a real good one for USF. Being it was his first start, and at Alabama no less, we can cut the kid some slack. But, he has a strong and accurate arm and is mobile.

Krackman- Please, make your own assumptions on future games. Just giving you some food for thought. Hope all is well with you sir.

Auburn and Clemson should play each other. Off yesterday's performances they deserve each other.
