Not a big deal at all to me but surprised me to find out they grade a win after the last game of the series, whether it makes a difference in the bet or not? For instance I bet Toronto at even money to beat the Indians. It was a 3 game series and they beat them the first two. What difference does it make what happens the 3rd game?

Anyway I wasn't angry about it just curious if that is standard procedure. I don't bet this way very often and curious if that is standard and if so why.

MCPUPPET IS THIS YOUR FIRST YEAR GAMBLING THINK ABOUT IT.WHAT HAPPENED IF A TERRORIST FLEW A PLANE INTO JACOBS FIELD KILLING 20,000 PEOPLE DO YOU THINK THEY WILL FINISH THAT SERIES.I BELIEVE ALL THE GAMES HAVE TO BE PLAYED IN SERIES BETS.IF A NATURAL DISASTURE HAPPENS AND THEY CANCELL THE REST OF THE SEASON I BELIEVE ALL ACTION BETS ARE CANCELLED THIS IS MY OPINION.

At Olympic all 3 games must be played on scheduled dates, that is why Toronto would be graded after the 3rd game is official

IMO it should be graded after the 2nd game. Who gives a shit about a natural distaster or what ever else could occur. The fact is his team had already won 2 games and there was no possible way for them to lose the series. Would any of these other circumstances take away from the fact that his team still won the series?? No, they wouldn't

not everyone can be so pathetically knowledgable about the sports gambling industry..plus I highly doubt they took baseball series bets when you were 18

You are right. In a three game series if a team wins the first two games and game three is rained out the book will pay winners and collect from losers. In the case of the series being 1 and 1, and a rainout, all bets push. The reason books wait to credit an account until a series is complete has nothing to do with the third game being cancelled.

Makes sense I guess. I realized later if you won the first game and then #2 and #3 were rained out I could see why some would scream and holler about winning the series, makes sense to have a rule for everything. You'll always have players taking a shot at you. Speaking of that....

Beaner - I have always admitted to being a square, almost as square as you are. LOL. This was the first series bet I have made all year. Was scanning other things and Toronto even money against the Tribe caught my eye. Thought others might be interested so posted it here. BTW what about a pick for the night? Us squares need all the help we can get.

I don't think it's a dumb question. No matter what happens in game 3, Toronto still wins the series. Who cares if they don't play the last game?
