I know football is wildly popular and maybe it's just that the baseball pennant races -playoff spots are heating up. Anyway--I just did not feel the same excitement watching last night's college games. Maybe when the NFL kicks off for real, I'll recapture some of the excitement. That is IF the xxxxxx doesn't Fxxx it all up. (I've said enough about my feelings on that and just hope the Wallstreet Journal had the right idea a few days ago.
Anyway--Baseball rules for excitement at least until the World Series is over. But this OMT is in the minority there.

I think once this Saturday comes, the fever will be more intense with everyone. Although, being a Red Sox fan, this has really been an exciting last month for me and hope it continues. I love both sports passionately!

Exactly why I don't watch too much preseason football, don't want to get "too" much of it too early. But, when regular season starts, it's a completely different story. As for comparing the two, football vs. baseball, well, there is no comparison.Football wins by a landslide. Baseball, to me, is the easiest "out" a player can choose. Some of these players could of possibly played other professional sports, but they chose the wimpiest of them all, (and the most overpaid) therefore, as I mentioned above, the easiest "out". I have no respect for the game of baseball.

The wimpiest sport of all. Obviously you never saw Pete Rose Play ! Just my opinion, I understand what you're saying.
Well Strut--at least you have a team The Red Sox in a race. My birds (Orioles fold by the second week in May--but I still remember the good years.) So today--I just like good games --pitching fielding and a few good announcers here and there (Jack Buck-Rest in Peace). Good luck to all.

Oldman-You and McIRICH need to hook up and talk the good ole days of O'S BASEBALL.
Everytime I see McPast, he has to ask me who the 4 pitchers were that won 20 games in the same season for the same team.
