We are sorry to report that BHB will not be sponsering MadCappers contest. We did not receive the response we were told we'd get (100) from MC, and therefore must cancel. We've had amazing turnouts from other contests we've had.
The following people have had the $50 placed back into their accounts at BeverlyHillsBookie -

We will be doing something very special, very shortly for EVERYONE (even if you don't have a BHB account). We're going to be giving away $1000 a week...players must pick the sides of every game (using the spread) on the "Sunday board" and Monday nights game as well. You will be able to place your picks on our website. The most correct picks.....wins! If there is a tie between 2 or more, the 1k is split.
And.........it's free!

Again, we're sorry to back out of this contest, we're hoping everyone will be satisfied.
If there are any questions please don't hesitate to post, call or email.
Thank you and good luck.
Justin

This is a bad business decision. You should have insured that it was clearly posted that a minimum number of posters were needed for the contest to happen.

Even if the prizes were cut in half, or lower, would have been better.

You guys are in business to make money, of course, and can certainly take whatever decisions you choose. We, however, also have the right to decide to whom we send our postup money.

Boys, you've done a lot of good things in this forum over the last year or so! This time, however, you stepped on it.

Justin,

I believe it is wrong to take all the sign up money from gamblers who sent it to you guys thinking there would be a contest...

Honor and Integrity mean everything in this biz and by not honoring this contest, you have shattered the confidence that many gamblers had with BHB...

Even if you have to lower the prize fund, the contest should be honored...

I will call you later today...

Shrink and Justin- Looks like a small misunderstanding to me. I am sure BHB feels bad about taking the post-up money from the small amount of players that did so. I find it admirable that they are going to offer the free dime a week contest to everyone. As a suggestion, maybe they can throw in a few extra bucks to the winner of this weekly if the winner should happen to be a player who posted up the $200 for the original contest. An added bonus and conpensation for the punters who posted up the $200 for the cancelled contest. Thanks for the new contest offer BHB.

Some things really do get to me. This is one of them.

We get approached as we do many times, to sponsor a contest. I make it VERY clear that we need a certain number of participants in order to justify GIVING away such a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money. As I recall, BHB didnt roll out the contest, a poster did. I feel it was their job to make the minimum amount of participants clear. BHB has many things going on, expecially at such a critical time of the year. We put our confidence in the posters that proposition us to launch "their" contests properly.

Then as people suggest other ideas to either lower, or offer something else, or sponsor another contest, etc. Should BHB choose to do one thing, it might not be good enough for the "other" posters.

I certainly dont think at this point, people solely sign up with BHB for a specific contest. Im sure the 20% CASH sign up and 15% CASH reload has something to do with it. Or I even like to think the fact that they know they can and will get paid should they beat our faces in.

Either way, I will speak with Ken and we will reach some resolution. I will note how quickly some are so quick to get on us for something that is not our fault, but forget the free trips, TENS of THOUSANDS given away, Rolex, shirts, hats, etc. Then we offer a free $1000 for EVERYONE, and still thats not good enough.

If anything, BHB will look into further sponsorships and who organizes them MUCH more efficiently from now on.
