Did everyone else think this totally sucked?

First of all there were those lame voice overs throughout the whole thing, like we can't figure things out ourselves.

The story is already cliche beyond belief...the young star who parties too hard and is on drugs, the off-his-gmae vet trying to prove he can still play, some guy overridden with guilt, conflicts between the coach trying to do what is right and please the boss at the same time, etc. Of course you have your standard steroids, trouble with police, psychiatric problems, cheating on the wife, etc coming up.

Acting was pretty poor, directing was also old and overused.

My girlfriend watches shitty soap operas during the day, but I'm starting to think these are better than this show...

time on air on primetime ESPN:

under 8.5 weeks -210

I agree for all the hype this show was brutal. Hell with my Yanks getting blasted watched Playmakers are very disappointed. Show is a joke RB on crack shows up 10 minutes before kickoff and still starts in game, where was ESPN to report player wasn't with team in warmups.

Not to mention it isn't very realistic at all. Teams don't just "show up" for a game. They stay in hotels the night before to keep these sort of things from happening.

Players don't ask for special food the morning of the game. The team dictates exactly what will be eaten, etc.

Same old theme with poor acting, unrealistic events taking place, etc. It was 45 minutes I'll never get back in my life.
