In comparison to the WSEX dispute, here's what a "respectable" book would, and should do>>>>

2~3 years ago, I had a balance of $400 in a sportsbook. I was scanning various lines, and suddenly my balance jumped up to approx. $8000!

Anyhow, I knew this was apparently a software glitch, and it would soon be corrected. I decided to have some fun with it, by playing blackjack in the casino. After about an hour, and still no corrections to my balance, I won around $2,000. I left for a few hours, came back that night, and instead of the $10,000+ balance that was in there earlier, it was now approx. $1400. I finally called, to find out exactly where my balance stood. After speaking with a couple of supervisors from book and casino, they told me my balance was exactly what it showed, $1400. They explained, and voluntarily awarded me half of the winnings I had in the casino earlier! How did they come to this decision? Well, they used the assumption that, I had $400 in my account at the time, and I could of very well won those profits off of my own money! Now that's how things should be done!

A respectable book is open 24 hours since it is 2003 now, wsex is a joke book, and an eyesour to the industry.

Hache, while I agree with you that WSEX should be paying this man, I don't think your analogy really applies. That is a totally different, and not so black and white situation.

In your story the book in question would be totally justified to leave your account at $400.

FWIW, Chuck Sims is the guy that kept defending Granny Scammers after thyey lied countless times to the public.

WSEX took a shot.
WSEX lied.
WSEX owes.
Chuck defends liars.

I have a question Hache. If you lost that 8000 balance in the casino or had a balance of 6000 would you still expect the book to give you your correct balance of 400?

nets2k2, the $400 was already in the account. Keep in mind, I did not even question or challenge anything, they took it upon themselves and made the decision to let me keep half of the money won, thinking it was the fair thing to do. This is just a tad "different", but I think WSEX should meet him in the middle and pay half. I will always stand by my arguement that if a bet goes through, then it should be counted, no if's, and's, or but's about it. My philosophy is, if a bet goes through online, it acts exactly like a handshake between you and I if making a bet in person.
