Staley met with Eagles Coach Andy Reid after arriving in Philadelphia and will report to practice Sunday, Eagles spokesman Derek Boyko said.

Staley, who is entering his seventh NFL season and led the Eagles in rushing last season, has been fined $5,000 for each day of the holdout, for a total of $135,000.

Staley, met by reporters at the Philadelphia airport, said he knew that his teammates and Eagles fans wanted him back in camp. "That was kind of really running through my head," he said.

He is in the final year of a contract that will pay him $2.2 million this season.

Earlier this month, Staley released a statement criticizing Eagles management for not "seriously" discussing his future with the team. Staley pressed for an extension and said he wanted to finish his career with the team.

"Unfortunately, not one person in the Eagles front office has given me any idea of what the future holds for me as a player for the Eagles beyond this season," Staley said in the statement, which was addressed to his teammates, coaches and Eagles fans.

With a pair of young running backs in Correll Buckhalter and Brian Westbrook, the Eagles have made it obvious that they're not prepared to make a long-term commitment to Staley.

Relations between the Eagles and Staley thawed a bit last week, with coach Andy Reid meeting at least twice with Staley's agent, Derrick Harrison

Staley should have kept holding out until he learns how to run.

Buckhalter is the man this year. Wesbrook #2 IMO. They don't need Staley at all. He should go run for Houston or Detroit

I'm a free agent. You can't have any loyalties when you're a gambler...

You should know that by now

Being a fan, and betting, do not go hand in hand, imo.

I am a Redskins fan, but, you will find me going against them whenever it is profitable. Same goes for The Gators. Love em, but, i don't don't do the homer shiat.

Now, that makes no sense to me, regardless of where you are from, or how you bet..
