What is the appropriate age difference between man and woman, how big is the window?

I`m guessing 10 years before it gets a little odd, but it can go much farther depending on the age...For instance I am 35 I won`t go any lower than 28 , unless its an extreme situation

What should be the cutoff, should a man 40 go out with a 20 year old? Is this appropriate? How about 50 and 25 , what d you boys think?

J~man, now~a~days, there are huge age differences. Every week, in our local paper, I look in courthouse records just to see this, and every week, same ol' story, there are much older marrying much younger more and more.

Lets face the hard cold facts, men and women are mostly attracted to younger attractive people. If you can get them young, go get it, who the hell cares what anyone thinks! Does not bother me if I see an old dude with a younger girl, I just say good for him!

Yeah I agree , it shouldn`t matter either...Personally I think we shouldn`t even keep track of age as its just a mental thing anyway...Everything is associated with our exact age,lol... Hey you could have a beautiful 57 Chevy and you could have a junker from 1995...So its more about what a person looks like than anything ...

Good thread, I ponder sometimes about the age differences, as a Guy, the younger girl seems appealing, sometimes, like they have more energy, so full of life, the things are all in place, butt breat etc, look good, but "rarely" they can keep a good conversation on your level, thoughts, opinions, ideas are all childs play, you always might have to be explaining stuff to them. So It ends up being just for the sex and showoff to your friends.

So, we continue with the saga, the older guy is "using" the younger girl, why?
do he really LOVE her, or love the young PPPPPPyussp, (you get it right)
do the young girl LOVE the older guy or love the old farts dough, so its I use you, you use me scenario,

Most girls like older men, they seem more secure, and have most of the niceties in life and can offer more than the guys in the same age group can, so its a crazy world out there.

Rail is correct in his formula. The French surprisingly also say:

mans age/2 + 7 = ideal woman's age.

when you're 18, she's 16
30 - 22
40 - 27

50 - 32
60 - 37
70 - 42

So every ten years or so, turn in the old model for a new one.

I don't think this is matter for rational thought. We are blessed with an organ which thinks for us on these issues and we are wisest to simply trust it IMO. Just look at some women from all age groups, and the one which gives the largest average erection is the one for you.

Lots of guys (myself included) go for much younger women. I'm 36 and my gf is 18. You could say it's just for the skin etc., but I think it's more psychological. A much younger woman respects you more and has fewer pre-conceived biases to undo. I have my own ideas on how the world works and it's very important that my partner adopt these so we can approach life as a mutual struggle, not a struggle against each other as is the case all too often with the older women. The older women will say I'm just "afraid" of getting involved with someone as strong as I am for fear that she may be right and I may be wrong. Well, to them I say that if there were a big tournament paying a million bucks to the man who takes on the strongest woman in a relationship, I may consider entering and I think I'd have an excellent chance. But if there is no prize, what the hell would I give myself all that extra work for? It's just like molecules diffusing in an open space .. they naturally follow the path of least resistance. In relationships it works the same way. To do otherwise would be masochistic.

So I don't think there is any magic age difference which applies to everyone. It's all about knowing yourself and your psychological needs. If you have trouble figuring these out, your willie is the first one to turn to for clues.

You are 36 and she is 18 - the only thing she respects as you put it is you are able to read the TV guide for her and change the cartoons to the one's she likes!! lol

All this brainpower being wasted on this....simply put we like breasts where we can still see them and "cottage-cheese" asses aren't the norm with young ladies. Discussion over! lol
