All of the above, but just the last I heard is that Kyl is fighting for a late September date for a vote. The groups fighting for it and against it are mostly one and the same it seems! If the bill comes out with their language they are for it, if it changes to go against they fight it. Its silly whats in it for me that is typical of narrow minded bills like this. Its not about principal for most people involved, its about carving something out for my benefit and then slamming the door shut on anyone that might get a slice of the pie. The really ridiculous groups are the tribes and the Nevada people. The tribes basically want a California type rule, give us everything and then ban it. The Nevada people say give every state the right to ignore you or else we don't support the bill. If you are like me you wonder why even pass a bill under these conditions???
All I care about are possible criminal penalties for the player. If they are not in the language for simply playing, no fears. If ANY are listed --I'll be finished and close my little accounts immediatedly. (the last I read and I could be mistaken here is that the House version had no criminal penalties for the player, wheras the Senate (Kyl version did--that little "5 year idea"
