Actually, let me clarify ... they seem to care more about you betting value (ie shopping) than actually winning.

If I remember correctly the 20% bonus there is a max of $200 in bonus money.

It's much more about value than winning. If they think you're a sharp, especially if you're middeleing or arbing, they'll lower your limit dramatically.

20% on a couple of dimes at that place!LOL! Forget about it! No way they will give you 20% on a couple dimes. I don't know off hand but i think the most would be 200 in bonus money. Those guys are cheap screws.

I'm always amazed at the attitude some players have towards bonuses. Calling GameDay "cheap" for capping their new player bonus at $200 might be one way to look at it.

Another way to look at it might be that, by limiting their exposure on the free bonus game, GameDay continues to maintain their financial viability over the long haul. Same idea with issues surrounding their limits.

It's been well stated here and elsewhere that GameDay focuses primarily on the recreational player ... their policies reflect that orientation. They're not giving away the farm in bonus money. They won't continue to take a beating from wise guys either. But, they WILL have money to pay you every time you win. Some may choose to call this "cheap" ... others may call it smart business.

All depends on what you're looking for in a book, I suppose. Big bonuses OR being confident that you'll always be paid ... and quickly. Unfortunately, these don't always go hand in hand in this business.

Nonetheless, here are the facts with regards to GameDay's current bonuses:

New Account - 20% / Max $200
or
ReLoad Bonus - 20% / Max $200
Rollover required: 3x

I should point out that GameDay stole $500 from me about a year and a half ago.

They gave me a bonus and then after about a week they decided I was too intelligent and so they took it back. Giving something and then taking it away is two things in my book: 1) Stealing and 2) Bullshlt

Darryl, you are definitely not the only one. They have done this a lot of times, and you only find out because your account balance doesn't match. They don't email you or anything and there is no post in your account indicating that the bonus has been removed.

Joe,
A thief is a thief NO MATTER what side of the counter you and VIP/GD are on.

Slashing limits is one thing, but stealing back bonuses that you use to lure action in from is another.

My experience with Gameday was positive last year. A dime deposit and bets of a dollar or so ultimately reaped a few dollars profit. One interesting thing is that they are offering the 20% even to previous winners [a generous and hard to find deal] and so I will redeposit again.

Rollover remains low too. Reduced vig and 2 cents NFL juice on Friday I think it is [not as good as last year's no juice but generous enough] on top of the bonus really gives you your best chance of grinding out a few bucks IF that is you intention.

Use this out initially for your fav plays only. then watch what they start dealing you for future dog plays. Use this supposed disadvantage to your advantage.

Yes,this is one of the best books out there if your intention is to make a relatively small deposit and in a recreational manner beat a book for a few dollars.

Needless to say if you're spending a nickel a month for Don Best and have quit your day job this ain't the place to play.

Another idea if you like to play college ball is to open an account at VIP also and as you cap and crunch your numbers for Saturday
pound the reduced vig there on Wednesday for the games you really like and see what happens by Friday at Gameday or Bet Jamaica or a host of other Friday reduced shops for your lean to's.

Once you get over the supposed stigma of being categorized as a "bonus ho" and a "square" and except the fact that Roxy or Billy you ain't, you stand a decent chance to beat some books like Gameday and VIP out of a few dollars. AND YOU WILL GET PAID.

And last year-- don't know about this year-- both of these outs sent me tee shirts which proclaimed my "square" status to everybody when I wore them to Tampa Bay Downs. I swear they were lucky shirts as I seemingly lost less on those carefree, gorgeous weekday spring afternoons than I usually did in the past.

Fishead and Patrick, if you see an old, long haired slightly overweight dude with bifocals, wearing either a white VIP shirt or Red Gameday shirt and a beat up old Panama hat leaning on the rail at the finish line with a leggy, attractive, middle-aged blonde wearing the other shirt or a white Hollywood golf shirt [it was too small for me but we like books that provide our clothing], during the up-coming winter meeting on a weekday afternoon other than Wednesday or Friday, taking time off from crunching baskets numbers, stop on by and Ole' Leroy will buy you a beer.
