Reinhold Messner climbs Everest solo with no supplemental oxygen (which makes a HUGE % of people unable to summit). He had no sherpas to schlep for him (except for Mrs Messner) and pulled himself out of a fall into a ravine. Otherwise he's still an ice cube.

IMO, there is only 1 record in sports history that has NO chance of ever being broken, NOT one chance. And that is Fernando Tatis hitting 2 grand salamis in the same inning. NO WAY will anyone ever hit 3 Grand Salamis in the same inning. Yes, it might be tied one day (which I highly doubt too) but to be broken, NO CHANCE. If you come back to life in 2000 years, that record will still be held by Tatis.
