Has your wager size went up since your first started gambling?

I`d guess most guys started much smaller than where they are now....

Its easy to get excited about 50 dollars a game for the beginner, but soon enough you`ll be betting nickels and dimes...

I`ve seen this many times booking games, one day a guys betting 50, a month later its 500 dollar teasers

I am a wacky better and strange as this may sound it is true. There are nights I play $5 on a game and others I will play 2 Dimes and usually most of the time it is one play per night.

I used to bet 2-3% of my starting bankroll - and nowadays I'm sticking with 1-1.5%. My wager size, btw, has not changed.

Yes...wager size increases every 3-5 years. With that said, last 2 years has been more action (games) per session with the same "unit" size on each game as 3 years ago. Don't think I will ever get up to a dime per game, at that point it would seem less like entertainment and more like a job or very expensive hobby where I have lots of money tied up.

It's natural that your wagers get higher as you banroll gets bigger. When I started about a year a half ago (with $800), $100-$200 was a good sized bet to me. Now I bet 10-20 times that much sometimes. It's only natural to bet more as your bankroll increases. If it don't increase I see the point of not moving your wagers up.

20 years ago it was 50 bucks a game. Now it is nickels and dimes. 20 years ago it hurt me to lose 50 a game. Today money management plays a big part. I have a comfortable bank role these days but losing still hurts.

15 years ago i used to bet $200-$300 a game with a bookie,credit on the phone,i worked my way up too $300-$500 a game,then parlays if bets,and reverses i hit bottom like 5 times,had too borrow and beg to pay the bookie. Even had to find a loan shark twice in my life.Then i found the internet about 5 years ago and my bet size decreased dramatically,only because i had to post up money,which probably saved me thousands of dollars,now i am down too 10 -50 dollar bets.

My units have stayed the same 100-300 a game for over 10 years. I just love the action i bet 300+ days a year, so i just grind it out, some days just one game or one horse and other days 10 to 15 games....just love the action..G.
