It's amazing that someone understood what the Jamaica Man was saying...

KINGSTON, Jamaica (Reuters) - Jamaican-born reggae star Sean Paul pleaded guilty on Monday to a charge of using indecent language during a concert and was ordered to pay a fine of about $34 or go to jail for 10 days.

Paul, who left his U.S. tour to attend the court session, paid the fine of $2,000 Jamaican (US$34) and issued a public apology.

"I am truly sorry about what happened," he said shortly after leaving the magistrate's court in Montego Bay. "I am using my international appeal to say that I have learned my lesson. There is a time and place for everything."

Paul was arrested and charged last month with using lewd language at his performance at Reggae Sumfest, one of the world's largest reggae shows, in Montego Bay.

He was supposed to be in court on July 30 to answer the charge but failed to appear. His attorney said his client had international obligations to honor and was not in Jamaica.

Judge Valerie Stephens rejected a guilty plea from the lawyer and issued a warrant for the singer's arrest. The warrant was later stayed until Monday's court date.
