If you get a call from a tout just tell them that you only bet $5 a game. My buddy used to get calls all the time from touts ( must of got on some list some how)and when he told one that, the guy hung up on him and never called back. Word must have got around because he never gets calls anymore!!

If you call them collect, you can't block your number. You would have to be nuts to give these guys your number.

10 cents a minute max shouldn't break you high rollers.

Yeah, a pay phone. But I really don't think many people are going to leave their house to go to the local 'sip 'n' go' and use their payphone to harass these guys. Just block the number and spend the 10cents that it will take before they hang up on you. Seriously.

I'm with ya man. It's rare that you can get the number of these guys and they should definitely get a little of what they're givin'.

LOL, Seems like a fun thing to do but I just can't see myself wasting the time nor do I want to talk to the guy!

I have had some call me and always ask them if they want me to come work for them and I give them my picks, this really pisses them off!

Ask them for a business license # and a number to check it with their state's attorney general. Tell them you work for a local DA's office and you have heard horror stories about these types of services so you are just going to call in and see what they say about you. If clean you will buy. 95% of the time you won't even finish your explanation before the phone goes click and they quickly get you off their call lists. I used to get 5 different calls before a MNF game, after using that method a couple times I never got called again.

Usually if I want to block my number, I call one of those 10-10-811 long distant numbers and then dial the number. If your cell phone has caller id, try it first on yourself. Works pretty good.

I got another voice message from the tout "George Wilson"...he sounds like he's about 85 yrs old (Yesterday it was someone else calling on his behalf)

Showed up as a private # this time.

If anyone cares, he likes the Rockies (at least for the people he calls in this part of the country).
