Christophe Fauviau, a French tennis dad, was arrested last Saturday for allegedly spiking the drinks of his 16-year-old son's rivals with Temesta, a prescription drug that can cause severe drowsiness.
As if that wasn't bad enough, one of the drugged opponents died in a road accident just hours after the match, apparently falling asleep at the wheel.
Another of the younger Fauviau's opponents had to be hospitalized for two days.
Suspicions first arose at a tournament in June, when Fauviau was spotted tampering with a water bottle that belonged to his son's opponent.
The police are still investigating to see if there were other victims, and deciding whether or not Fauviau will be charged with causing death by administrating toxic substances.
