BOS claims they're the largest in the business however they don't report/publish any numbers. They also are saying that they'll pay anyone 25K to prove otherwise. I think as far as bet volume, SportingBet/Sportsbook.com has them beat by a large margin. Think they'll pay me?

I can tell you with some confidence that they won't pay you. I had an exchange with them over this claim as Ladbrokes in the UK are clearly bigger than them with over $5bn turnover in the UK. They tried to wriigle out of it saying that they were bigger. Unfortunately for them I had been lucky enough to see their pathfinding document to the London stock Exchange when they were looking of for a listing there which stated their turnover at $1bn or so including their stakes in Millenium etc. This made them get rather shirty. I told them that i didn't want their $25k or a free flight to Costa Rica and whatever else they were offering and I just wanted them to take it off their website as they are purposefully misleading customers. They ignored that email.

Thanks SKY.

I didn't expect them to pay either... and yes, they're shamelessly misleading customers.

They won't get my business based on that fact alone.

US Market would be Sportsbook.com and associated sites (Wallstreet.com, PlayersOnly.com, Sports.com, etc.). They put SportingBet on the map - and I'm pretty sure SportingBet, Plc. is the largest by volume.

BetSBG.com is another site that claims to be the largest.

Sportingbet is considerably bigger than nasa, and much, much bigger than a shop like SBG.

Sky is there a document with 2002 numbers?

There is no public document that I know of that states turnover and i know from experience that the numbers that bookmakers put out in press releases etc are normally way off the truth

I think the privately held bookmakers are the only ones making up the numbers.

Still no response from NASA/Bet on Sports. I guess I won't be getting my $25K from them or my free trip.
