Tragedy in Baltimore this afternoon....

Two week old child killed by family pitbull this afternoon ....Just happened about an hour ago, the police then chain the dog to a fence and at some point the dog broke free, the police than shot and killed the dog in front of everyone....

It was reported the parents left their newborn son alone with the dog while they went outside to smoke...

Damn... an infant should never be left alone with any dog. But my heart goes out to them, they'll live with this the rest of their lives.

Yeah its really awful...this happened in a really low class part of Baltimore city, but what could be worse....Two weeks old, sometimes a split second can change everything forever...

It's sad, but I've met a few people in my life who's cigarettes mean way more to them than their own kid.

Even though the issue here is about the dog, not the cigarettes, they didn't have to both go out at same time. One could have went out first, while the other stays with kid, then switch...This accident should NEVER have happened..

Pitbulls and smoking are both killers, anyone who smokes is trash, if you smoke around babies your double trash, if you own a pitbull you are trash.

why dont people with dogs understand no matter how gentle the dog may be around children...........they should never ever leave a child unsupervised with a dog..........

im sorry but this ranks right up there with leaving a child in a car during the heat of summer ..................

some accidents are unavoidable...............this wasnt

I always laugh when Pit Bull owners say, "He's a friendly dog" Pit Bulls have been bred as attack/fighting dogs for centuries. To leave a Pit Bull all alone with a newborn while these trailer park trash duo smoked cancer sticks outside is so grossly negligent, charges should be brought.

Pitbulls are typically owned by people who by most standards would be considered trash.....Smoking is bad period but not all smokers are trash, I despise smoking there is nothing good about it...

Being a parent is the hardest thing and greatest job in the world...Sadly these people won`t get a chance to correct their stupidity...If I did something that stupid to my child , I`d shoot myself in the head ....

They interviewed a witness , this guy said the police shot the dog like 20 times in front of alot of kids....All around bad deal...I don`t feel sorry for the dog though, at all!!

I usually feel bad for the dog, but in this case, eye for an eye. The newborn could not of done anything to provoke the dog. The Pitbull was jealous of all the attention to the newborn and decided to kill it.

8- lol, I can`t always please you,lol...I`m not the only one who seems to think this...Pitbulls are generally owned by lower class people...

I doubt you`d see a pack of pitbulls roaming the grounds of any Beverly Hills estates
