Never heard of any complaints, tough to get money in there other than western union though.

Huge drawback was them setting up dummy accounts and trying to collect bonuses, ect but PCI caught them.

Seems though like transactions move quickly when transfering either way and overall I would use them as my third way to transfer

neteller
western union

JJ,

ONCE AGAIN YOU MAKE A STUPID STATEMENT..If you had any idea.. you would understand 10% bonus and no referral 3-5 time roll over is no scam bonus for securebuxx..Securebuxx, has been a fine transfer company... and they pay all western union deposits.

(Just ONE reason i would suggest people avoid SECUREBUXX)

quote:

Player's Club International

It is with tremendous disappointment that betPCI feels compelled to reply to comments published by SecureBUXX founder and president Anthony Varvaro at TheRx.com and **********.com on the morning of Wednesday, January 29, 2003.

Player's Club International has maintained for eight years an impeccable reputation in the sports gaming community for fairness and integrity, as well as the highest standard of ethical behavior. Toward that end, the company further wishes to defend its position to terminate service with SecureBUXX, while at the same time warn other online race and sports books of the deceptive nature and disingenuous business practices in place at SecureBUXX.

Upon completion of a New York Knicks game versus the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden on the afternoon of Monday, January 20, 2003, the management of Player's Club International learned that nine active wagering accounts were created from the exact IP (Internet protocol) locale. That address is: 66.163.7.120.

Each account, which was initially funded with a SecureBUXX deposit of at least $1000 and as much as $5000, was awarded a 10 percent sign-up bonus. The accounts were registered under the following names: deleted

Further investigtion of those names revealed a student identification card had been issued by LaSalle College in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, to an (delete) leading betPCI to conclude the latter two names on that list were a guise for the same individual.

That assumption was further confirmed by betPCI's voice-recognition software. Once the digital recording of a telephone call placed by "delete" on January 20, 2003, entered into our fraud-screening database, a definite and identical match was produced with "delete," who works as the SecureBUXX receptionist.

As has been the case with other suspected attempts to cheat betPCI, our management worked closely with the IT deparment at Grande Sports, another Dominican Republic-based bet-shop. In turn, Grande established contact with Cascade Sports. In concert, Grande and Cascade found on file accounts with all nine of the aforementioned names, as well as more than three dozen others -- all eminating from the same IP address.

Player's Club International then learned that bogus accounts under each of the nine names, in addition to dozens of others, had been established at all other participating merchant bet-shops listed on the SecureBUXX Web site.

betPCI immediately suspended all nine accounts and demanded from Mr. Varvaro its entire balance on file with SecureBUXX, inclusive of all costs levied against betPCI for the transfer of funds into each fictitious account. Mr. Varvaro complied within an hour’s time and asked betPCI not to disclose publicly any further information about its findings.

While our company originally complied with that request, it now feels obligated to release this statement in the wake of Mr. Varvaro's blatantly false remarks and outrageously laughable attempt to conceal his efforts to swindle the very bookmakers with whom he ostensibly was working.

Throughout the history of betPCI, every account has been paid in full in a timely fashion. A representative of Player's Club International has been in contact with Mr. Varvaro throughout the last week to ensure him all funds in the bogus wagering accounts he set up at betPCI will be paid. Naturally, those funds will not be delivered until a full investigation of this matter is complete. Mr. Varvaro was assured, however, that will take place very soon.

All deposit bonuses, as well as re-load and referral awards placed into Mr. Varvaro's nine phoney accounts already have been deleted. Mr. Varvaro confirmed via telephone conversation that was a fair first step.

Every statute and bylaw governing accounts and wagering privileges at Player's Club International is clearly displayed on our Web site (http://www.betpci.com). The first edict reads, "Only one account shall be issued and may remain valid per person or within the same household or IP address. Multiple accounts will be subject to immediate closure."

betPCI was introduced to SecureBUXX through Russ Hawkins, who owns **********.com. But contrary to popular opinion, our company has neither publicly nor privately insinuated involvement in the SecureBUXX plot by Mr. Hawkins.

Nonetheless, betPCI decided on principle not to renew its advertising agreement with **********.com, which continues to endorse and promote the SecureBUXX service. betPCI and **********.com had in place a contract set to expire at midnight on February 1, 2003. Despite that end-date as originally agreed upon by ***, a freelance sales representative for **********.com, Mr. Hawkins prematurely ceased running the betPCI banners on January 25, 2003.

Player's Club International has (and will continue to maintain in its files) hard copies of all contracts tendered to and with **********.com. betPCI also will keep in its archive digital recordings of all telephone conversations with SecureBUXX and **********.com.

betPCI would be happy to provide this evidence in the form of .WAV files, facsimiles or e-mail transmissions to any third-party bookmaker effected by these recent transgressions.

Again, this statement is being released for the sole purpose of making clear that betPCI’s only intention over the last week was to severe cleanly its ties with SecureBUXX and **********.com, and to warn other bet-shops of the underhanded dealings of both companies. As of this time, betPCI has no plans for further comment. It will release additional information about SecureBUXX and **********.com as the need arises to further bolster its reputation as the world’s premier online race and sports book.

Thank you.

I cannot believe you think setting up dummy accounts is unethical, if they did not get caught they could of crashed the whole industry.

Oldfriend hang with me and you will be fine. By the way not that is matters, someone told me your 77!! Is that true?? Your a sharp blade for that age.

Good Luck to you

They are fine to use as a transfer company.

The $5,000 limit per transaction vs. Neteller's $2,500 is handy.

The transfers go as smoothly as Neteller.

Very accomodating people, Anthony in particular.

They do have issues...

1. the PCI thing (which I think was PCI just looking for an excuse to stiff - I'll avoid them because of it) and any other betting they do, but hey we are gamblers so how much can we admonish them for that?

2. customer service has been reported to not be up to snuff by multiple posters (although my experiences are the opposite)

3. a much shorter list of books than Neteller

All in all, barring anything unforeseen they will continue to grow, add staff and books to their roster and play a bigger role in the industry.

I think if you try them, they will exceed your expectations.

I don't know what to think about the securebux betpci story. All I want to know is the truth about the owners of betpci and betmega connection. I was lucky to get my small amt of money out of betmega, but a good friend of mine wasn't so lucky. When he tried to find out more about them someone told him the story. It goes something like this. 3 or 4 guys were all partners in a credit shop before they went internet. (And they are lying about how long they have been in business too btw) I don't know why they decided to go seperate ways, but that's how the story goes.

So the credit guys (who would go on to establish betpci) go out with a bang stiffing a bunch of credit players. The other guys who are just getting betmega off the ground go out on a limb and pay the screwed credit players. It was speculated that they expected to get paid back once their now ex-partners started up their own book, betpci. Or maybe they wanted the package for start-up. Who knows. Well, those ex-partners, the guys who are now betpci, ended up stiffing betmega. And betmega, down the road, went on to stiff many more themselves.

Now that betpci guy is a very good writer, and sounds very convincing. I guess that makes him honest and betpci a top tier book, right?

I'm not trying to yank anybody's chain here, just doing what everyone always says AFTER a book goes doown. (Shoulda read between the lines dude)

neilm (if you happen to see this):

I don't have an account with them yet. What's the most cost effective way to deposit from Canada ?

With Neteller, I used Visa the first couple of times, but I couldn't take the 3.9% Fee + the exchange rate conversion, so now I usually just walk the money over to the Bank of Montreal and deposit into their Neteller account.

I also quit using them due to the betpci thing.

I found transfers were often much slower and more difficult to use than neteller, but they are alot newer.

I really only have room for 1 or two methods of moving my money...

Halifax,

If you are comfortable with Visa then I believe they take Visa deposits without a fee. They also process them in Canadian dollars if that matters to you.

Other manners of deposit are Western Union Quick Collect, a bank draft, or even a personal cheque if they know you.

As far as I know there is no fee to deposit money into your SB account whatsoever.

They are out of Montreal. Call them if you have any questions. Ask for Anthony or Robert.

Thanks.

Visa deposits with no fees are good.

It would probably be in my best interest to open an account.

neilm,

You must be one of the few people to find Anthnoy accomodating. I found him to be one of the most dishonest people I've dealt with. As for their CS, it is non exisitent. For most people the otal lack of CS probably won't matter, because overall things do tend to move smoothly. But should you actually need help with something, good luck.

The customer service is non-existent. I tried to call Anthony Varvaro several times, never received a return call. He then sent me an email, asking me when would be a good time to call. I sent him a response within 5 minutes. After at least 10 more emails, and several more phone calls, he STILL never talked to me or even responded.
