Just like Pete Rose is one of the greatest players ever and belongs in the Hall. Sammy served his punishment for what happened. It does not change everything else that he has accomplished and will accomplish. Anyone who seriously thinks Sammy's accomplishments are due to cheating truly is ignorant about baseball. I can understand the disappointment in one of the greatest players ever being cauhgt cheating, but you still have to recognize his greatness. That's the way I see it anyway.
I can't see why anyone would owe him an apology? He got caught cheating, I doubt anyone forced him to cheat. I don't think it means he sucks now but it does put things in a new perspective. It's crazy to think people won't look at him differently. Almost as crazy as asking for apologies after getting busted for cheating.

In the real world if executives cheat to gain an edge it's called fraud & they are *in theory* punished in a court of law ...
