At Gamblers Anonymous:

Boxing on Fri Aug 9\

Jermain Taylor -4200
Freddie Cuevas +200

Those are the kinds of lines that will knock Pinnacle out of business.

Obviously there has got to be some mistake.

LMAO!! The funniest thing about Taylor is that he's only a prospect right now. Anyone who gives those odds is nuts. His chin isn't really tested, as far as anyone knows it could be china. He will win this fight but to have a line like that is crazy when it's not even on an established star.

Agree 100% Valdosta. No need to laugh at the -4200, -420 is a joke in itself.

If Taylor was -420 in this fight I would lay it

Earlier this year there were a couple of huge favorites who went down. Ricardo Williams was something like -3000 (and lost)
icon_eek.gif
Wladimir Klitchko I think was around -2000 and lost

Wlad actually started around -800 so many people lost there asses on that fight. The biggest dog I ever won on was Ricardo Mayorga over Forrest the first time (+625). Anyways, boxing is a bit more safe to lay odds if you know what your doing although an occasional upset could kill you if you did it often.

Maybe it's my suspicious nature but I will not lay big chalk in boxing. I am always afraid of how easy it is to fix a match. Not like football where there is 22 guys on the field, just get to one man and it is done.

BTW what does Joey have on this fight, anyone know off the top of their head?

He has Taylor at -4000 and the other guy at +2000. Point taken about fixing a fight and I actually take that into consideration before I bet. A good example was Eric Lucas-Markus Beyer (I got Beyer at +240). Beyer was German and they paid Lucas a LOT of money to come over to Germany to defend his title. Lucas does enough to win the title by a few points but Beyer still gets the decision. Often times if youknow where the fight is and who the promoter is, you can figure out if the scorecards may be "favorable" 1 way or another.

Tennis has the most wd's of any sport... fixing matches is rampant in that sport.
