I forget which book did that last year on the Wisconsin UNLV game (paid out to those who had the obvious winner even though the game did not go 55 minutes), was that BHB as well?

Anyways, mucho props to BHB

You are saying the BHB paid off winners KC and under and refunded losers GB and over. Wow is all I can say.

They could come back later and say it was all a mistake, but yes, that is what they appear to be doing

I recall a book did that last year in the Wisconsin/UNLV game and got max PR out of that...

only problem is it sets a bad precedent. If something like this should happen in a high profile regular season game (Monday, or Sunday Night) when the book (BHB) has a large chart with plenty of action on both sides, then what do you do. Of course it would take one hell of a storm to call a regular season game before it was officially over, but with the threat of lightning it could happen. Anyway, if its true kudos to BHB.

IMO.........not a good idea, wagering rules plainly state college and nfl games must go 55minutes to have action...

in the gambling business you have to have set rules.....and stick to them.....

by doing this BHB leaves themselves in a bad position for future games that end in a similiar situation............

actually it makes it worse for the bettor, not knowing for sure if the book will call it no action or a winner..........

Are you sure this is right?

I imagine if they grade GB a loser, packer bettors will have a red ass when they realze it.

Its obviously a mistake.

They can not grade one side a winner and one side a push because then they lose everything.

They cant grade one side a win and one a loss because then the other side will go crazy and they are really right.

So it's an obvious mistake.

Well 2 things to think about here. First of all, in NO WAY should the play on KC be graded a winner since forgetting about the 55 minute rule, the game was still VERY much up in the air! Anything could have happened, now maybe the under could be graded a win though. So I believe that this is a mistake and will be corrected, BUTTTTTTTTTTTT

Since we mentioned it here, it now puts a little pressure on them. I mean almost no one bet on this game, so they wont lose that much. BUT they could gain some NICE free advertising for the rest of the baseball season and early football by grading the plays this way!!!

AND IT IS ALL ABOUT ADVERTISING

I dont care either way since they already paid my 1st half bet on KC, I didnt bet on the whole game spread!

Does anyone recall the book last year that paid out on the Wisky/UNLV game? (the infamous "lights out" game)? As I recall, that book got props to the max. I think it was Grande or something like that.

In any event, I may wake up in the morning with an e-mail from BHB "We are sorry to inform you that Las Vegas rules stipulate...and we are changing the grading to no action" but if this really is legit, I will continue to tout them and I hope all other BHB players that benefited do too

NFL

THE KANSAS CITY VS GREEN BAY GAME HAS BEEN CALLED DUE TO RAIN AND LIGHTNING
WITH 5:49 LEFT IN THE 3RD QUARTER. DUE TO THE 55 MINUTE RULE, THE GAME IS
CONSIDERED NO ACTION ON THE SIDE AND TOTAL. FIRST HALF WAGERING IS
CONSIDERED ACTION.

Most books stick to the 55 minute rule, but anything is possible.

Read the rules, know the rules.

In order to have "Action", the event must go:
Football (professional or college) 55 minutes of play
Basketball (professional) 43 minutes of play
Basketball (college) 35 minutes of play
Hockey (professional or college) 55 minutes of play
Boxing 1st round bell
Baseball (home team winning) 4 1/2 innings
Baseball (visitor winning) 5 innings
Baseball (total runs) 9 innings

We all know the vegas rules

Rules are meant to be broken, especially by P.R. hungry offshore bookies.

It was done last year in the Wisky/UNLV game by an offshore book (subequently given p.r. in a write up by Nover) and I was speculating by virtue of their actions if BHB was going to do a similar gesture. I was simply preparing to give them props for that. As I said earlier, if my KC and under wagers were graded winners by mistake, I am sure I will hear about it tomorrow and I will so inform this board.

This is not a thread to cite ad nauseum the vegas rules

ppeter, its a mistake...........they arent just giving money away. have you ever won a bet then said, "ah WTF let me just send this back? What is ADSNAUSEUM is you trying to pocket money you didnt earn!

Last year Heritage paid because there was no way UNLV was going to cover and since the owner is from Vegas maybe he felt the fix was in because if Wisc. won it was going to cost the local books a ton. He gave away $ then but don't think everyone is going to just give away free $. If they do its because they don't have much riding on it and that could be the case tonight but I doubt it.

thanks for remembering it was Heritage

If I wanted to pocket the money I would have been silent about the whole thing instead of making a public comments and thanking them for it.

I disagree that Heritage paying out in the Wisky UNLV game is distinguishable because it was more of a sure thing, we all know the under was about a 99.9999% winner and KC was well on its way to covering.

Anyway, I am sure BHB will make a public statement tomorrow as to whether or not they intended on grading KC and under a winner

had to be a mistake
