RPM, I have a suggestion for our match in the sweet 16 contest. We are basically tied after 1 day after a shitty day for both of us. SO how about this idea to make things fair and mnake it more of a handicapping contest than a crapshoot!
Why dont we have a rule whereby the first person to post his games get the games that he chooses and the other player cant choose the opposite OR SAME side in the game.
For instance, lets say that tonight you chose Chicago and posted your play at 1pm. After that time, I COULD NOT play either Chicago or kansas City as one of my plays, you would own that game. Of course the over/under could still be played provided that you didnt have a play on that as well.
It probably wouldnt matter anyway since we have 15 games to choose from each night, but this keeps things honest and square. Sportsmanship would not be an issue then in the contest and would set a nice precedent for other players.
It really isnt much of a change and only matters that we agree to it here since it is in the public forum. I take that you are a man of your word, so I would trust that you would not take a game that I choose, and I GUARANTEE that I wont take a game that you coose if you agree to this modification.
I doubt that I would play with or against you in any game anyway, but this helps keep it honest.
We of course would still have to email our picks to Journey, but we could do that right after we post our picks each day.
Lets make this competition a handicapping contest and not let it go to shit no matter who is behind. I know that I wont complain a bit if I lose to player who wins more games than me. Hell I lost the last contest to Uncle and he went 9-1 in the first round. I ended up going 6-4 I think, but of course it never mattered in the end because I was so far behind.
Let me know what you think about this change, BEFORE we pick tomorrow
