Im trying to figure how this stayed under the rug so long too. Sting just put it up as well. How did this go quiet so long?

I can understand why, but can't see how.

Carib plans on being in busines for years, all customer info is still confidential and uncompromised. This is from the them. Until a third party takes a close look at them it is a matter of trust and reputation vs the unkown significance of the arrests.

YES carib should have placed a message in all accounts and in forums explaining what happened, as well as providing justification for funding accounts with them such as having the shrink look at their financials and give us his opinion.

This situation is not a whole lot different than the one that CRIS went through last year. The top man at CRIS turned himself in, but the book has continued to operate and prosper for that matter. Our first instinct in these matters is to panic, but bookies have been getting busted since the 1920's and somehow still manage to stay in business. I believe that will be the case with Carib.

Is there any reason to pull out of the book?

Will this cause any problems for the book as such?

if this went down 6 weeks ago at least no payout complaints yet. If everyone pulls out and little funding then carib may need to get acquired as the do have a very large and valuable customer base.

Carib doesn't advertise nor respond to forums. So I doubt that would happen. They are evidently growing in Europe and elsewhere .

But am I correct in that "Wm. Caesar" was a false name? or not involved with this?

Hey--I like Carib!!!!!

I am most concerned about that assets taken. Was this gravey or meat and potato cash. Do you think Ken should have put this on this site when he first found out?

The day to day operation isn't effected by this and they only payout from Belize banks. They don't use agents with credit so their central funds are still intact. These appear to be ownership problems stateside on personal monies and if ownership lived off shore you wouldn't be hearing about anything. It's only because their profits were seizable in U.S. institutions and they lived in the states as profiters from an off shore business the states deems illegal that this became a problem. CRIS didn't miss a beat when ownership was involved in litigation outside of their host country so why should Carib?

No I don't think Ken had a responsibility to tell the readers here-because CARIB was NOT an advertiser here. I respect that right to privacy if he knew and his friendship with someone.

But what I don't like is being mislead by false NAMES! (You never had that at WSEX!

Carib is one of only a handful of books that have all clients funds in a seperate account.

Need to worry about the books that slow pay, and use every excuse possible instead of the truth, which is they are using your funds!

Oldmantime,

Are you an idiot! Why would any owner use his real name, and enjoy the same results as Jay!

Posters don't even use their names....get real..

How do you go about informing all of your customers that the main guy has been indicted without sending out a clear message of panic to them...

The only thing that I want to be assured of by an offshore sports book is whether or not my money is safe there...

In the case of CARIB, I expect them to operate as effectively without John, as WSEX has done without JAY...

I do know some of the other top level employees at CARIB, as they are solid and know this biz well...

Jay Cohen did not come back to the US with 2 million cash/assests hidden. There is no comparision.

From now on the only book--I would ever play with other than WSX is one that I feel the owners are NOT coming back to the US!!
