Unlawful Internet Gambling Act

I browsed this Senate bill on senate.gov and I must say that it made me very angry. It makes me sick that the United States government is trying to babysit me by mandating what I can and can't do with the money I earn. It is my money! The hypocrisy of the Federal government and state governments is mind boggling. It is okay if I want to bet on dogs, lotteries, or horses but it is criminal to place 5 bucks on the Chicago Cubs. This is America and I resent Congress for attempting to become my financial planner. Basically this bill is an insult...Congress is saying that I am too stupid to decide what to do with my own money. Congress needs to wake up and realize that trying to stop gambling is impossible. Hell the only reason that the NFL exists is because of gambling. Why do you think people still watch a football game when the score is 28-0? Congress should legalize sports gambling, regulate it, and tax it. But I don't expect them to do such as it would make too much sense. The motto of Congress should be as follows, "If it makes sense...don't do it."

Many of us recognize your frustration and feel the misery, but as red007 says, this will be very difficult to enforce.

Oh I totally agree. I will still gamble. What makes me mad is that Congress is spending the time and energy to pass this bill.

you would think they would have BIGGER and better things toworry about then gambling and the internet..very sad. they are trying to take our freedom of choice away...I hope the other side is lobbying against this to try to get this not to pass
