I have thought the very same thing, Dante. Probably the biggest obstacle to it is that I doubt very much that you could get the books to get together on such a task.

Sometimes I think MAYBE that PPATM is sort of an attempt in that direction. But until WSEX offers it--I'm staying away, too much negative publicity , etc.

NO.

NETeller has the BEST products and Anti-Money laundering procedures in place and should survive any new law. Their ATM card Kicks-Ass over PPATM.

And their fees for some of their other product are much cheaper than even Western Union.

We can issue debit cards to customers and look for another solution coming soon from your friends at Allworld and PariAction...

Thats probably what we'll see. A flurry of debit cards being offered by different books.

Sportsbook Future History Headline #1

when: possibly before the start of the regular season.

prognostication(s):

- visa and MC reluctantly issue and ENFORCE a reg that completly disallows gaming transactions by credit cards. gaming companies were notified barely 12 hours before the new reg took effect.

in a related story: a series of perfectly timed automated transfers enabled processors selling uncoded transactions to perform snatch and grab on unsettled funds and chargeback reserves for 3 MAJOR sportsbooks offshore. an FBI Agent who spoke under condition of anonymity said... "we haven't rcvd the final numbers but i can tell you we're talking a healthy 7 figure".

private label debit cards will become the main funding/payment instruments. as acceptance and volume increases PLDC's begin to overtake Netteller as the lowest cost option (fees).
