Nothing wrong with it and Sick is innocent. I actually think we should throw a victory party for him.

Leagally.... I do not think there is something wrong with it.
Morally and Ethically....yes, there is something very wrong with it.

But I am no judge of either the law or ethics.

great question ID..

if my brother lives down the street from me at a diff address, why can i send 10k, play it 5x over, then in 2 months, my bro comes in, uses my pc bec has NO pc.. bets from my internet (same IP) and also gets bonus. I just don't get it. Why is that person considered a scammer. They both gave the 5x rollover and both deposited real money. This happens over 25,000 accts a day offshore, i assure you. There is NO diff here what is going on with me.. NO DIFF..

thanks jj i appreciate it sir..

If the relative has no personal financial interest (e.g. at least share in gain/loss) in the account then it is not theirs and it is wrong. In such a case it is simply your account and you are using their name. I just think that is flat wrong.

If on the other hand they have a personal interest in the account (share in the gain/loss to some extent) then I think it's fine even if the original person choose and/or places the wagers. There's no rule that I know of that mandates that the account owner choose his or her own plays -- if so the touts would be out of business.

<<< posted by krackman>>>

Maybe it's me...I spoke to a two book owners today and they both agreed that this is blown way out of proportion and sick really didn't do anything so bad.

"He opened and funded accounts under different REAL people's names which the accounts have phone numbers that correspond to those names/people. He played through the money the required amount of times and then asks for payouts"

"There is nothing that really can stop this sort of thing and how are we really to know these people won't play with us in the future" " It is not worth it to me to have someone police the phones to check on this stuff"

I guess as far as they are concerned they have a new name and account number.

Fvck, maybe I owe sick an apology. Maybe I have been doing the wrong thing then. When I lose and blow out an account under my own name I should send money under a new account number and get a new account bonus instead of a re-up(which is a smaller amount of bonus then a new account) "and don't forget the refferal for the Krackman"

Madcapper, I would be curious if Royal, Bodog, or many of the books currently advertising here care where the money comes from...

IMO, if the books really cared about this, there is one sure fire way to eliminate it, just don't offer any bonuses.

Yeah, I think it's wrong, and the only way to get rid of this trend, is by getting rid of bonuses.

as I see the question-

Can you lie to your book, make up a fake accounts, to get referal bonuses, extra bonuses that you would otherwise be ineligible for, and is there anything wrong with that?
or-Can you behave dishonorably and lie to your book and attempt to get $$$ through circumventing the rules by your lies?

And then expect the book to be always 100% honorable with you?
Come on guys, its shit like this that ruins it for everyone else who does behave honorably and doesn't steal.
Sick didn't take RIO's money-they'll adjust the account and if necessarry the rules to accomadate. BUT IT COSTS EVERY OTHER CUSTOMER BECAUSE THEN THEY CAN'T OFFER THE SAME PACKAGE TO EVERYONE ELSE.

HE'S STEALING FROM YOU!!!!
And every other Bonus Whore hurts it for the rest of the Real Gamblers.

Most books have a rule against using multiple accounts to abuse the spirit of the bonus program. In these cases they reserve the right to take away the bonus. If they see that your own account suddenly became much less active when your brother's account was opened, and also that your brother's playing style remarkably resembles your own, then I think that's valid enough a reason to disqualify you from the second bonus.

It's also a reason to post your name on closed forums for bookies only or to put you on a black list to warn other bookies of a potential player who is not 100% straight.
