Should proven scammers be banned from the forums?

I'm not saying that the SG case is 100% cut & dried right now, but from a theoretical point of view, should the forums permanently ban anyone who has been proven without a doubt to be a scammer?

Any thoughts?

Depends on your definition of scammer. Is a scammer a bonus whore?

If using full blown deception(multiple accounts) is part of your definition of bonus whore, I'd say yes.

Intentionally circumventing sportsbooks rules would have to be included......

Depends on your definition of a bonus whore Payton.

Is creating Neteller and sportsbook accounts under false or misappropriated names acceptable bonus whore behaviour or knowingly fraudulent activity?

TTinco,

You raise a very good question that I was going to start a thread about myself...

I'd be real interested to hear what others think before I give my 2 cents on this...

I agree. I think mult accounts to get a bonus is deceitful.

Is that the only definition of a scammer?

Let's define all scenarios now.

What about people who don't pay on credit?

What about people who pull WU scams, etc?

If there is a defined "scammer" and someone fits that bill - then I am all for banning that person.

Just like "most" scambooks are not allowed to post or advertise here, same should go for the posters. Creating multiple accounts in order to get bonus is a clear scam.

SG should be banned from here in my opinion along with any other scammers.

Well then you should ban about 35% of posters. Lots of guys are trying to scam books and when books catch them the posters makes up stories about them, ect. Again most posters are afraid to bet one way period.

I dunno TT.

I know that we do our best to let the books know about posters that are scammers...

But I am not sure what to do as far as banning them.

I guess it is up to the community what we should do about them.

I know that scammers hurt the industry the same as a bad book does. But I wouldn't know how to handle it to be honest.

I am very interested in hearing the forums thoughts..

I just fear that if we start doing this it will turn into a witch hunt

Truth, assuming that the SG story as we know it is correct, I agree.

Yes, it would hurt the forums by losing active posters, but it would also raise credibility.

Scammers inflict some SERIOUS damage on books through this crap. I don't have any examples, but I'm sure that being scammed has been a big part of the failure of some books.

Throw in the fact that a scammer probably lets his "buddies" in on his game via the forums, and it's that much worse.

Funny how all these so called high rollers see a $50 bonus and they all jump in fighting for it like it is gold. Lots of poor fellas here that is what it really means.

Truth never received a bonus ever and have no clue how they work. I am a real player from the old school and not into free money.
