Gamblers pride.

Just been out to a soire (accent on the e) with this girl i met a few days ago and been getting pushed around by some dumbass up and coming (according to their small minds that is) bankers about my gambling habit. I punched a guy too, nothing ensued, too much of a pussy to fight back, but my girlfriend thought i d be best if she did not stay over tonight and call me tommorow, you see it was her boss's posh house and they are her co workers.

I dont know if anyone's insulted you about gambling, or being a gambler but i tell it's very annoying, at least.

I got into a big quarrel with four of them banker dicks about sports betting, their main argument being that it's an inferior past-time, all gamblers are losers and underacheivers, gambling is addictive, gambling is a vice blah, blah.

I thought of some very bright and decent people i ve met on these boards, as i punched a guys face for telling me, in a sneering stuck up way, "we trade stocks, you trade footballers".

Being the pussies that bankers usually are, a fight did not ensue, as it seems that my single punch managed to put some sense to them, they were all, ok we overreacted, we are not used to gambling, we did not know, let's not drag this on for no reason, maybe you are right.

I have an intense dislike for wiseasses, esp. those who discard gambling as an inferior vice and nothing more.
