It pays to raise HELL : DSL Internet

Many neighbors of mine have switched to SBC DSL from cable internet....

They've been telling me what their monthly fee is and it is much lower than my current SBC DSL fee.

This morning I gave SBC an ear full

The lady put me on hold and came back to tell me they will reduce my monthly fee by 49% !!!

Also, will rebate (prorate) my July bill that's been already paid.

why do people switch from cable to sbc dsl???? is it faster or just the cost is lower

I was given the sales pitch a couple weeks ago & was told it was special because i get a dedicated line with no sharing.

In many neighborhoods dsl is faster. But it's an ebb and flow...

The more people who switch from cable inside the neighborhood the faster the cable becomes.

i have cable and im happy with it. althiough 29.99 is cheap and tempting.

I pay in 40's for cable...and i have 3 computers hooked up to it.

It definitely is not consistant during certain times of the day. Maybe too many people are using cable in the area?
