I asked these same questions on the baseball forum yesterday but I did not get a reply,maybe someone here can help.
1. If I place a wager on a player and later find out he did not start the game or the player he is matched up against did not start the game will this make the wager void?
2. If one of the players does not start but later he appears in the game as a pinch hitter will this make the total bases wager count?
This info will be greatly appreciated.

You will have to check the specific rules at the sportsbook where you place the bet. I think typically both players must play but whether they start might be a book-to-book situation.
