I would like to know if laptop computers are allowed in the casinos in Las Vegas, including the sportsbooks. Thank you in advance for your replies.

No phones, no beepers or communication devices of any lkind allowed due to the messenger betting law enacted a few years back.

as soon as any sportsbook employee or security guard sees you talking on the phone or even having one in your possesion you will be asked to leave the race and sportsbook area. This is one law they enforce and if you refuse to leave you WILL BE ARRESTED.

Even at the indian casinos in Minnesota they won't let you bring a cell phone in.

You can take your cell phone with you into the sportsbook, and even leave the cell phone turned on. If the cell phone rings you must leave the sportsbook area to answer your phone. This is the same for table games, if you answer your cell phone while at the table the dealer will tell you to back away from the table. Best bet sit at the slots or an empty table and chat on the phone all you want.

Gambling isn't allowed in Las Vegas sportsbooks either. You can get away with the beeper all day long. You can have the cell phone but just don't use it in view of any sports book personnel. The lap top is a no go. You can have a radio just as long as it's not a 2-way communication device.

The regs against that stuff are a dinosaur but seeing as the Gaming Commission here doesn't know anything about gaming, it will probably be that way for quite some time.
