Man, in the playoffs, Tim Duncan cost me a huge middle by blocking a meaningless last minute basket that would have made the game land on 5 rather than 7.

Somehow, I don't see fate treating Duncan the same.

Kobe from a gambling standpoint was always involved with many spread situations. He was famous for missing one of two free throws under 10 seconds in multiple games to force OT and create a cover possibility. The all-star game was just another one. That Stoudemire example was a classic example as well. I'm not saing that Kobe was gambling but his posse was and he was aware of what was needed.
