Guys, hopefully someone here may be able to help me out, I have not been able to access hotmail the last few days, I know the site is not down and I believe that it may be due to the fact that the other day I was clearing some stuff off my hard drive and may have deleted something. The only sites I cannot get into are hotmail and Youbet, I get the same message ACTION CANCELED no page to display...

Any help would be appreciated.

Ragu

Check and see if you're logged into Microsoft .net passport. You might have to log out to get into the Hotmail website. My girlfriend has been in that Microsoft jail for the last year.

You might want to try clearing your internet history. Assuming your using internet explorer, go to "Tools", click in "Internet options", then click "delete files" and "clear history". Also hit "delete cookies". I'm not a big techy but that seems to work for me whenever something goes goofy.

Hi Ragu,
Dont try to go to hotmail directly- try this...
www.msn.com then click hotmail
then I think you have to login to passport
its your hotmail address and password
then I think youll be ok-

BigRagu,
Why don't you get OutLook Express? Hotmail accounts can be used with OE.

Ragu-
Microsoft runs hotmail and is at war with everybody else's browsers, etc.
AOL's built in browser does have trouble on some sites that expect Microsoft's browser.

1) Try Internet Explorer or Netscape browser (while logged into AOL) instead of AOL browser.

2) Try accessing Hotmail from a friend's computer or from your local library (don't save the password to this other machine.)

Java... I use AOL to sign onto the net but once there I use Explorer for everything else, I tried logging on from other locations and had no problem, don't know why I can't access it this week.

Ragu- you ok with youbet.com now?
That diag stuff is at bottom left on members only logon of youbet(link I gave earlier.)
My Problems with hotmail- seemed to be ok doing my 1013 post suggestions.

Right now Im thinking aol(one strange bird)
Its got bad code(to my machines in various versions)
Once I get aol working ok I refuse all automatic updates(force connection close)
Some known problems are the aol adapter.
Settings/system/hardeware/network adapters/delete those 2 aol guys-
If youve a friend thats NOT aol borrow his connection and I bet your working ok.

The best aol I run is tottally hacked(aolnet),after that version 4 works best for me then version5,Ive one machine that handles version6 ok.
Heres another way- delete off aol the best you can and reinstall from scratch(use an old version 4 or 5)
