At what point does a play lose value?

Assume you either see a posted line of -150 for a play that you agree with. When you browse the books to place a bet, you find that the line has already moved against you. At what point would you pass on the play? When the line moves to -155? -160? -170? Does it depend on the numeric or percentage deviation away from the value you have originally assigned (i.e. 10% or 10 cents off the posted line)? What about a +150 dog that moves to +140, +120 or +100? Any views on this would be welcome.

When it is recorded as a loss, lol.

I think more or less its perceived value to begin with. Its not black and white, value to one may not be value to another and its impossible to evaluate with all the extraneous variables!

Good question. In baseball, if it moves against me a little bit, I don't worry too much. But in FB where a line moves off a key number, then I'm pissed.
