2-0 on G.O.D.'s as the Marlins cashed in yesterday.

Red Sox -103 Over Blue Jays

The Red Sox are sending red hot starter Derek Lowe to the hill in Toronto. Lowe is 10-3 with a 4.50 era on the year but he is 7-0 with a 3.45 era in his last 9 starts. Which tells you that Lowe has refound his groove from 2002. He is struggling against lefties this yr so look for him to pitch around the always dangerous Carlos Delgado. On the other side, the Jays are sending, Closer -turned- Starter, Kelvim Escobar to the hill tonight. Escobar made a very smooth transition from the closer role but lately he has been struggling. Escobar is 0-2 with a 5.85 era over his last 3 starts raising a once very low era to its current 4.31. Bill Mueller, David Ortiz, and Jason Varitek have been red hot at the plate and that only makes the potent Red Sox lineup with Nomar, Manny, and Damon even more dangerous and Escobar's recent struggles should be prolonged tonight. The Jays, as a team, have been struggling...winning just 3 times in their last 11 games and don't look for the Home Field edge here because they are only 22-20 at the SkyDome.
In a big series with first place in sight, I see the hotter(and one of the hottest pitchers in the American League)pitcher to shine.

Play on: Red Sox -103 (8 units)
