Neteller in Maryland

I was going to request a withdraw from from book into my Neteleller account and when I logged into Neteller, I got a message that said, "We no longer accept transactions from those clients who live in Maryland," or something to that effect.

I called and asked the operator and was told that this was a management decision and wasn't given any further explanation. I asked if there were any other states that are restricted and I was told no, MD is the only state.

Anyone have an insight?

i wish i knew man. for now, lets look at it as a possible problem with no confirmation.

as i said, i just logged into my neteller with no problem at all.

this could be a misunderstanding.

i wouldnt add it to your payment option thread just yet. lets confirm it first.

When I called the customer service number, I was told what I listed above.

That's all the info I have. Don't understand it either.

More info:

I just logged on and talked to their "live person" and was told that, yes, they are no longer accepting DEPOSITS from Maryland. But they said that I can have someone transfer money to my neteller account.

I guess I have to fund other funding options but can use neteller for withdraws.

how are you trying to Deposit credit card or checking acct??...there was another guy in this thread that lives in MD and can get in to dep...very weird

maybe this is the begining...WOW..could it be a washington DC thing ??

RPM I logged in and do not see that ...are you in MD??

I wonder if the rep for neteller that posts here can shed some light on this. Do you remember who hs is RPM?

ok, i just talked to customer service, and the lady told me she doesnt understand this any better than i do.

she said we are "trained to say it is a corporate descision."

you can still make withdrawals, and merchant transfers, you just cant make deposits from the state of maryland.

i will be calling back to speak to a supervisor in about an hour.
