This is what you can call VIG!! And you can't make straight wager, only three team parlays. Weirdest thing is that those goverment guys are always trying to ban offshore betting.

How many people consistently beat that kind of vig?? I guess most people parlay??

Every time I try to get down on more tennis and soccer, I notice the 20 cent AND MORE vig. Wouldnt books get more action if they lowered the vig, or do they not trust their own numbers?? I have very little background outside of US sports...

I don't have all numbers, but company says that bettors win about 55 cents of every dollar staked. It's a little bit better than probability is (0.8*0.8*0.8=51.2).

Turnover on Fixed Odds Betting:

73.1 million (2001)
61.5 million (2002)

I think people have tired to lose with lottery corporation and play more and more with offshore companies. Every year turnover is lower.

Turnover on Result Odds Betting (mainly pool type of betting, bettors vs bettors)

122.9 million (2001)
121.3 million (2002)

This is absolutely their best game even a high vig, because there are a lot of people who don't have a clue about probabilities of the results. But an edge is lower year after year beacuse of good softwares. Also, offshore companies doesn't offer good odds on Results Betting and thats why turnover is almost same.

Many offshore companies have asked Finnish goverment to change the law (now only lottery corporation can offer betting). They would like to come here, hire people and pay taxes, but no. State lottery guys always are agaist that. It's just because they want to keep their well payed jobs and that's why telling all kind of lies about offshore betting. What kind of knowledge you need to check odds comparison sites what others have and then go with their precentages and high vig?

Next year they are forced to change this law.....
