simply open a commodity trading account, trade the emini version of the sp market, this can be done for as little as $1000 at the right places, i can ok an account of that size to be set up for daytrading the emini with stop orders in place (no overnight posistions held), this means in an out the same day, $25rt comm, which means $25 gets you (IN and OUT), not $25 both sides.. You guys are missing out on a great form of gambling that puts the sports gambling to shame,, ive done it for 14ys now.. You can make and lose your whole account in a single day, sometimes hours, sometimes minutes.. but with only a grand and trading the emini, this means you have 20pts to risk and thats not counting comm, so basically to be safe, you have 18pts to risk. you can go long or short first, this means either buy or sell first, then locate your stoploss order (risk factor) just above or below good support or resistance, remember now 1pt is $50,, and trading the big SP market, 1pt is $250.. its fun, thrilling, adrenilne rushing... the likes 95% of you here have never seen and it goes on daily right from the comforts of your own home, and its perfectly backed and endorsed by the US government,, i cant believe no one here (not many anyway) takes advantage of this great way to gamble daily.. i can answer any and all questions from you, fire away. my broker is a full service broker by the way,, be glad to let you talk to him, set you up, get the ball rolling.. you guys dont know what your missinng.... this market (emini) trades around the clock but the action is basically during the time the big board is running.. i trade sometimes afterhours,,, you can make a few hundred in the morning and quit for the day but it can be more luring than any casino that ive been in.. any questions, are you guys bored during the day and want some real action at 8:30 am cst daily, it can be done by simply opening an account for as little as a grand and firing away..

ill show you a live trade or 2 monday,, i have live qquotes from esignal,, the emini is sitting around 976 now, with the market down around 9pts on the day at the moment, the dow is down 84pts by the way, as i type this, im going to go long or buy 1 emini at the market,,,,, then get my fill, bam long from 976, tell my broker to place stoploss at 968, this means if it touches 968 and it counts in quarter points then im out automatically, no losing everything, simply risking $400 and comm on this trade,, and the market is just open 20 more minutes,,, done..

this was merely a hypothetical trade, i just pulled my screen of live quotes back up and we would have been filled at 972, i was looking at cnbc when i made that post and the cash (sp market) was at 976, we trade the futures off it and not the cash and 4pts or $200 is a little safer play,, although my basic stops are 6pts away as a norm or $300 per trade.. then tighten stop up to free trade posistion asap..

Daytrading is not for everyone. Wisest thing is to make your move and then go out for rest of the day. Come back maybe one hour before markets close and see were you are. It's like live betting on sports and not for me.

Sports betting is illegal in US, but you can gamble almost everything (like weather) in markets. Very stupid thing, but US goverment doesn't care because they get some tax of it.

I really hope we could have those $10/trade brokers but the cheapest we have here is $8/trade + 0.25% of the sum.

ok maybe you guys want to trade the grain markets (beans, corn, wheat) are 3 most popular, $50 per pt... nov beans today opened 558, went as low as 553 and as high as 560.. closing at 558,,, this was a light day today,, if the open was at 558, then the high of 560 was made, one could have put a sell stop order to enter market short at 557.75 then put his stoploss order over the high made at 560, risking only 2.25 cents or $112.50 on this trade, profit would have not been much but one could have gotten out at 554,,, believe me this was a very light day in the bean market today,, one could have traded multiple contracts as well.... All brokers and houses are different, ive traded the same place 14yrs so the rules that apply to others do not apply to me, when we are talking about intra day trading,,, now going over night with not enough margin money will get you a margin call.. Margins on beans are around $1100 per contract per night,,,, like i said: i trade the grains, meats and the emini, can do spreads,, i.e. buy wheat and sell corn.. can spread different months, i.e. buy sept wheat and sell dec wheat. although thats slow and boring... ill tell ya about the meat markets later.. come on guys, you dont know what your missing, i thought there were gamblers here..

also daytrading requires patience,,, ala poker. just sit and wait for the perfect setup baby,, know your supp and res points and play it like a fiddle, if your wrong then your stop takes you out with a small loss.. daytrading is great for some if you understand and are patient,, cant chase your losses ala sports betting or go on tilt, ala poker....... my close friend who is 64yrs old and a vice president at A.G. Edwards, he posts here by the way and lives in D.C. tells me all the time how much alike trading both commodities and stocks is to sports betting.. just alike in a lot of ways,,, you want action, its there, dont wait for the cubs day game.......

>>>>Sports betting is illegal in US, <<<

Faceless,

If sportsbetting were illegal then the Republican party would not now be attepmting to ban internet gambling i.e. there is currently no law US federal law prohibiting internet gambling. Hopefully, there never will be!

Hey SSI,
I recently heard an ad on the radio for taking a position on the EURO vs the U.S. dollar on the currency exchange. Also the way gas prices go up and down, I have always thought you could make some $ on that if you timed it right such as taking a position in home heating oil when it is predicted to be a very cold winter in the Northeast. The bad part is you always hear "commodities trading has the potential for serious loss so it is only for the serious trader" ie you're probably going to lose your ass so get ready for it!
