Every time I here/see SAT it makes me glad I am from the great province of Ontario.

What a silly outdated way to judge whether a student will be succesful.

If you can't trust four year's worth of grades and need to rely on one test then your system is a shitstem.

There's always next year, like in 75, 90-93, 99 &

JJ,
On the good side you're now smarter than <our> President ...

on the bad side, those scores are border-line brain dead (although they'd get you into FSU if you could jump & run)

The problem I had with the verbal section is every frigging answer looked like it was right, I thought I aced the verbal but was wrong. Very tough test and too much pressure, I actually can bet 2 dimes on a game just to watch it and feel no pressure. Verbal is so hard and math was not easy, I understand lines and shit and reverses and round robins, ect but problems on tests are hard. I wish there were questions about what a 2 team parlay paid, ect, but none of those. Good Luck Boys

I know you love fu(cking with us. But I will say this with certainty - There is NO WAY you scored that low. Anyone who has taken the SAT can attest to this. As a matter of fact, if you blindly circled answers you would achieve a higher score.

Docdekay this test is not like the one from years ago it is very easy to get a 690. I know guys from my area that got 630's and 640's, ask around it is definately possible. If you just circle any thing I bet you could not get above a 480. I am pretty sure about this.

Good Luck

Could you imagine the questions on a gambling SAT test?

Question 141 - If Tampa Bay was a +160 underdog and Baltimore was a -135 favorite, a two-team five dollar parlay would pay

a)one million dollars
b)$1378
c)the radius of a circle
d)none of the above
e) all of the above
f)What is a parlay? Is that French and goes with vois and Francais?

The possibilities are endless -

If Roger Clemens left New York at 2 p.m. heading west traveling at 100 mph in a Ford and Ichiro Susuki left Seatlle heading east three hours later in a Hyundai traveling 49 mph (Ichiro obeys all US laws and does not have a valid drivers license) - which player's arrives in Chicago to drink wine with Corky Sosa at exactly midnight?

Shit like that on an SAT would be classic.

oh man I gotta quit posting here... anyway I think you need a score of at least 700 to play at a NCAA school.

It's been over 15 years since I took that test, maybe it's harder today (i doubt it) but I scored over 1400, maybe I should take it again... yeah right!

btw, the SAT doesn't score a test less than 200, so if you sign your name and leave all answers blank you would get a 200. If you didn't sign your name you would still get a 200 but of course they couldn't give that score to you because they have no proof that it was you that took the test.

Anyway, why are you taking the SAT? are you still in high school?

good luck and study.

the SAT's of today are thought of to be easier than yesteryear... if that is a word. I believe the averages are out there on various websites if you wanna search out for them.

Most theorists think the increased scores are due to either more preparation or an easier test. More preparation is deemed because of awareness and attitude changes. More people want to get into college and more people know that this is one of the steps into succeeding in everyday America. The easier test theory is based on the test is biased towards economically challenged people. Lower test scores in bad neighborhoods mean less people go to college and less opportunities for these people. and yada yada yada...

Since the SAT has so many problems...the ACT's are becoming a better option for some especially for the more specialized schools (tech, science, etc.)

I did well in the SAT's (740 Math and 560 Verbal) and had over a 4.0 overall high school gpa but this STILL did not help me too well in College. I tried out chemical engineering and then switched to chemistry after falling on my face after 3 years. I eventually graduated with a Chem degree with around a 2.5 gpa from Maryland. I now work for a contractor for the FDA making less than what Alex Rodriguez makes in a day.

My bro in law got a 900 in the SAT's went to a community college for 2 years and then transfered to UMCP graduated in 3 more years. He had around a 3.0 High School GPA. His college GPA was 3.5 at the community college and 3.2 at UMCP. He now makes 500k a year doing financial advising. Go figure.

Test scores and for that matter high school don't mean Sh*T.
