June 23, 1917: Red Sox pitcher Babe Ruth is ejected after walking Washington leadoff man Ray Morgan, and Ernie Shore comes into the game to pitch. Morgan is caught stealing and Shore then retires the next 26 batters in a row for a quasi-perfect game.
