Boxer Mike Tyson was arrested early Saturday after a brawl with two men outside a Brooklyn hotel and was charged with assault and disorderly conduct, police said.
The former heavyweight champion was treated for minor cuts after the other men apparently swung at him with an object taken from the lobby of a hotel where Tyson was staying, police said. Police said they had no further information.
Shelly Finkel, adviser to the 36-year-old Brooklyn-born boxer, did not know any of the details of the confrontation, saying Saturday, "I'm in the process of trying to find out."
The other two men were also arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after the 5:30 a.m. brawl. Police identified one as Nestor Alvarez, 24. Authorities said one of the men and a woman with them was treated at a hospital.
The Brooklyn district attorney's office said Tyson was expected to be arraigned Saturday or Sunday in connection with the brawl.
