Are there fans of promoters? It's amazing how this business is growing!!! Do you thing Don King is the major promoter in the U.S.?

As much as people despise him, Don King does manage to put together the best fight packages, imo.

Funny this just popped up. I was just on the phone with a customer and mentioned that I had met Don King at my first Kentucky Derby in 1981 (Pleasant Colony).

Talked with him (mostly listened) for 15-20 minutes about how much money he had won and how he handicapped the horses, etc. He was an extremely entertaining individual. Did not have the posse like he probably would today.

A very memorable experience!!
