They (neteller) tell me if I overdraw my account, it takes 24 hours to process InstaCash deposits, so as long as my checking account is funded in the morning between (am and Noon, I wont be subject to the $30 Neteller instacah overdraw fee? Is this correct, for anyone that might know about this. Will have the money in my checking in the morning but dont want to have them charge a $30 fee, but they claim as long as my bank deposiys my funds immediately , tommorrow morning, I should be ok avoiding their $30 late fee...any help on this?

All right. Here is the answer. NETeller is not going to charge you $30 if it overdraws your checking account. They won't know that unless it bounces which is different than overdrawing your account. The overdrawn part NETeller doesn't give a rat's ass.

So it depends on your bank. You cannot assume automatically that just because you deposit money on Monday to cover it and the EFT posts on Monday, it will go through.

Your bank may go by your actual balance at the time the EFT hits and bounce it back immediately. Or they may do like Bank One and wait until the end of the day to see if any more deposits come in.

Chances are, though, they wouldn't bounce it if you put the money in the same day.

Most banks cover the amount overdrawn while charging you 30 dollars or so (this is up to a certain amount). Therefore, Neteller won't know that the amount was overdrawn in alot of cases unless its like 1000 and you don't have the overdrawn protection, you can buy as a service from your bank.

Watch out for neteller's ONE DAY processing of your instacashes. They sometimes will process all your instacashes at once instead of waiting 2 days. So sometimes if you take out 100 on monday and 100 on tuesday, then on wednesday they might process both transactions.

Ok guys, thanks forthe help. Talked to neteller today, here's the deal. I deposited a check (oops) instead of cash on Saturday morning, the bank says my deposit wont be poted until Midnight Monday night. I get real nervous when hearing this and it's already after I deposited the check in rush hour drive-thru. Called neteller, and they say they wont even see the transaction until Monday, and that it will be Tuesday at the earliest (24 hrs from them seeing it on Monday I guess) for the EFT to go thru the bank, so they tell me 90% sure if my funds are in my bank midnight Monday (Tue morning). Then I will be ok. But like you said Dell Dude, I wonder if the bank will charge an overdraft fee ($29) because the "transaction" to neteller would actually show for Friday night, even though the EFT Neteller assures me wont even go to the bank until Tuesday. I guess it depends on the bank, but will my bank probably charge me the overdraft fee anyway? Can I be confident that as Neteller says, the instacash eft wont be seen until Monday and wont go to the bank until Tuesday at the earliest?

_________

That's not what I said. I said if the EFT ARRIVES at your bank Monday morning and you make a deposit to cover it Monday afteroon, I do not know whether your bank would bounce it or wait until the end of the business day to see if any more deposits came in.

One thing is for sure, there is NO CHANCE you will be charged an overdraft fee if you deposit the same day the EFT posts regardless of the time.

Either it will bounce or it will go through. For Bank One it doesn't matter if it's a $1000 overdraft EFT. If you deposit $1000 before 4:30 pm, it goes through. But not all banks may do that.

Sorry for the misquote Dell...basically I am at the mercy of what neteller has told me then. they say it should be Tuesday at the ealiest for EFT to arrive to the bank, putting me in the clear. But almost sounds like youve seen a weekend EFT from them arrive to your bank the following Monday by 4:30. If this is true, then they would basically be pulling my leg. Have you ever had EFT arrive at your bank from a weekend deposit by 4:30 that following Monday? Or are they telling the truth about not seeing it until Monday and that the EFT would arrive at my bank by Tuesday at the earliest? Thanks man for your help on this, just want to make sure neteller is being straight up with me....RR

at most banks if you deposit a check, even though it hasnt cleared they will honor eft's or checks that come in against the same amount.

they wont charge you any fees unless the check you deposited doesnt clear.

Normally it always arrives on Monday if it's made over the weekend, but that's Paypal. They're very fast. NETeller is slower, so it probably won't post until Tuesday.

Let me clear up the myth that NETeller EFT's take two days to post. Nonsense. I made two EFT's yesterday, and one of them is going to post today.

The one that's posting I made after 7pm. The one not posting was made after 8pm. Bottom line is you have to assume it posts the next business day unless it is LATE.

If I didn't also just have $320 in NETeller debit refunds post, I'd be shitting my underpants right now.

Dell, I have done these Instacash deposits and the money isnt taken from your account until the next day, so just get the money in there early the next morning. Actually, the money doesnt even have to be in your account, its almost like credit. But, something happens where you dont cover those funds, you wont be allowed to do instant transfers anymore, only EFT's.

I know, that's what I said. When the money is taken out of my available balance, that means the EFT will post on that day.

The times were a little earlier that I thought. It was after 5pm and 7pm, but still late enough that you couldn't automatically assume it would take two business days.

I've had PayPal EFT's made close to 10pm show against my balance at 6am the next day!

I bounced three PayPal EFT's on two separate occasions to sportsbooks and they didn't even seem to care. Didn't affect my account at Paypal or the sportsbook. I even kept making deposits using them before the resent EFT's cleared.

Because of their who cares attitude, I changed my strategy of making sure none of them bounce to making sure they don't bounce twice.

You "bounced" Dell, but eventually paid right? What I meant by Paypal getting the shaft is people making the instant deposit, and never having, or then taking, the funds out of their bank account. Thats why they sped up their processing.
