Revisiting Len Bias Death 17 years later....17years !

How can this be, it was mid June- 17 years ago!

I remember this like it was no more than 6-7 years ago...

Thinking about it now, Len Bias` whole career would have been over by now, that is unbelievable...

Maybe not alot will remember or even care to read this, Bias I saw his whole career at Maryland, I went to every home game back then , I saw Bias come in as an awkward Freshman at mid season showing signs of freakish athleticism...By his Sophomore year he was getting better by the game, leading Maryland to the coveted ACC Title over Duke...Bias was on Michael Jordan`s level.

I can still see the ESPN break in that Wednesday morning, it was all like a dream, how could it happen?

17 years has passed, time is fu(king flying!

Imagine a team with Bird, McHale, Parrish, and Len Bias....And think of the shit teams we are watching in the NBA Finals this year...

BIAS was in theEXACT position this NEW kid from highschool is RIGHT NOW,,,, the only diffeence,,, is that BIAS went college,,,,,UGH,,,I bet he would still be alive if he went to the pros,,,,,

Well one Major difference Len Bias was in no way ready to play pro ball as a high school kid....In fact back then it was basically unheard of . Moses Malone and Darryl Dawkins were the only ones to skip high school...

Leonard (as Lefty called him

) , Leonard didn`t blossom til the middle of his sophomore year...He carried Maryland on his back the final two years of his collegiate career...

This guy was special, on the basketball court anyway
